> 3 dayThis doormat comes rolled tightly and packaged in plastic. Once it is opened it will lose most of the curling quickly. One edge will take just a little more time, but it is rolled in a way so that it will not curl upward when you place it on the ground. The surface is a dense felt material with grooves to allow for dirt off of shoes to settle. The bottom is made of a flexible rubber that is pretty grippy. In addition to the grippy material, the mat also has small cleats to help it grab onto the surface it is placed on. I could not get it to slide around on a hardwood floor and it will definitely stay in place on concrete. This one is going at the doorway to the kitchen patio! This 30x17 mat for $20 is a decent value. It is a good quality mat so I think it is worth the cost.

> 3 dayFirst thing I notice it was heavier than my other mats. It weighs 4 pounds, has a rubbery back, low carpet top, and I measured it a 17” x 30” same as in the description. And it is much nicer than my previous mat with much more quality built-in; very nice top covering, nice rubber bottom with small spikes to keep it stable, and much more heft. I actually wanted the black one but they were out so I decided on the beige one and glad I did. It goes well with my ‘brown’ home theme, lol (see photos). I will keep this review up to date if any new issues arise upon usage and as time passes.
