These are great disks that hold up better than most others. A bit pricey but I guess you get what you pay for. I will be buying again.

This product may be fine for the auto market, but I would not recommend the product for sanding turned bowls. I attempted to sand the outside and inside of a turned bowl, and the pad was so stiff it would not bend around the curves in the bowl. To sand the curve, you had to apply more pressure than you should to get it to sand properly. The diameter of the sanding rounds is just bit smaller than the pad. This means that when you do try to follow the curves of a bowl, the plastic edge of the pad leaves marks on your wood. I tried shaving a bit off the edge of the pad, to make it sand without gouging, so I guess I own the product. Finally, obviously the sanding rounds are punched out of a large piece, so the grit size only shows on one (or none) of the rounds. How are you supposed to know what grit you are using? I do believe it would work for my purpose if the support pads were much softer.

These discs are a great buy. They do the job. Work well. One warning for new buyers that I learned the hard way. They’re packaged together by grit (5 of each grit). BEFORE you dump them out all over the place, write on the back with a sharpie the grit they are. If you do it later you’ll play hell figuring it out.
