DLG DI-PT01 Non-contact Phase Rotation Tester

Tho lead colors are standard for 3 phase in China. Green for hot. Go figure. It will read a direction with only two clips connected. Other than that it is not bad.

Its great not to have to glove up just to connect a rotation meter. Just wish it came in red, white, blue for familiarity.

Not a high end product, but for the money you cant expect a Fluke ! Dont forget you cant safely use this tool as a Voltage Detection device (Phase Presence Indicator) as it only detects phase presence if current is flowing due to the Non Contact type clips. This means you could have all three phases at 480v but if there is an open circuit downstream of the tester, no current flowing and therefore no illuminated LEDs could make you think the circuit was dead, when in fact its very much at Leathal Potential !! You have been warned........

Its pretty cheap, one of the phase lights doesnt work. Its still usable. easy to use. I like the fact that it is non=contact

This is probably the most user friendly Phase/Rotation tester you will find.

I have been an electrician for more than 25 yrs and what can I say but it surprised me it was way better than expected at the price I got it for I didnt expect such a decent well made device Ive needed one of these for some time now and the only thing that was stopping me from purchasing a comparable one was the price on average I gave seen similar products for as much as $150 when I saw this one on Amazon I was skeptical but I am happy to tell you that I tested it out and the way the no-contact worked I was never in danger of shock or worse and it worked perfectly I am happy with my purchase
