Bought these for a Vacation Bible School craft. The 000 size was a size smaller than I could get at any store in person. I had my dad and brother help me drill some additional holes in these (one in the very middle and one near each end) so they could be hung by a chain on the wall as a sun catcher. I painted them with a clear coat of spray paint after washing the oil off and letting them dry a bit.

I use these for welding projects over nice and clean shoes no rust on any of them not to much mill sale ether only thing I dont like about them is they have the size on the bottom and the pictures doesnt show them not a big deal tho

I feel a bit reluctant to submit a review as Im using the shoes for craft projects, making Christmas wreaths and trees out of them. There are companies that sell cast shoes for such projects, however cast iron isnt a good material for welding, Im making these items for family and want them to last so I wanted a quality forged steel show. I was very pleased with these shoes and company, already placing a second order and am sure I will order more.

used these to make indoor (counter) trivets and outdoor (cast iron) trivets. seasoned them with flax seed oil. everyone (including myself) loved them.
