Good picture, but not substantially better than the 32 IPS LG that is half the price. Started to flicker after only 3.5 months of use. Dell support was TERRIBLE. I very much regret this purchase.

Havent tried playing around the settings though but the default setup is already great for me and comes factory calibrated. I am looking for something which I can use for everyday coding and casual gaming. I first tried a widescreen s3422dwg VA monitor and my eyes suffered within just a day. Text crispness is something of utmost importance for me. So I decided to return the widescreen and get this one instead. This Dell monitor is a bit more expensive though but now both me and my eyes cant be happier enough although my wallet, on the other hand, gently weeps. But hey, this is worth every penny.

As the title says, I ordered and paid for a new one but received one that had been opened and taped shut again. It was noticeable because Dell taped the box closed with one piece of tape in the center. The box I received had that piece of tape in the center cut and two other pieces, each about 1/3rd the length from each end, as shown in the pic. Perhaps this was just an accident but Im rather disappointed in Amazon. It seems safer to order directly from the manufacture instead.

As a visualization artist, color is very important to me. I have tried 6 different monitors recently and IPS black displays have consistently come out on top as the best bang for the buck. If you have the money to afford a 4K mini led or oled monitor then by all means but these dell monitors having amazing image quality for the price. Having tried both the 27” and 32” version I can say the only difference was size and price. Although 4K on a 27” has greater ppi, the picture quality on the 32” was almost indistinguishable from the 27”. The 32” is however $300 more, so if you don’t need the extra space, go with the 27”. Both monitors us the LG IPS Black displays, so if you want panels with the exact same picture quality, you can buy LG’s version of the monitors for significantly cheaper. $650 vs $850 for the 32” version. What Dell does is buy the display, improves quality control and warranty, packages it better by making it frameless on 4 sides instead of 3, adds features like a built in hub, kvm etc, so if you need all those extra features then buy Dell but if you’re just looking for an IPS display with the same image quality, LG has alternatives for much cheaper.

While it is early days, this monitor does the job. My previous monitor was a Samsung 275T which was an outstanding performer for 15 years of mainly graphics and general office work. This panel only takes up slightly more desk space for a significantly larger screen. Time will tell but so far I am happy with the performance and appearance. Calibration is done at the factory and the results enclosed with the monitor. Colors are well saturated, contract is excellent, brightness at default (75%) settings is more than adequate. Ive not tried the hub I/O or the internal speakers which are low priority for me. If this monitor lasts half as long as my previous one, it will represent good value.

The size is incredible allowing work with 4 apps at each corner of the screen. But the most special feature is the nice ability to work with a laptop (for work) and my personal PC. I can connect the mouse, keyboard, microphone, and camera to the monitor and easily switch between work and personal carrying all the devices to the selected computer. It is amazing and extremely useful. Build quality is great. Another good feature is that my laptop keeps charging once connected to the USB power. The only thing that I would improve is the stability of the monitor in the stand: once you access the back-panel buttons it shakes a bit. Other than that it is perfect for me.

I was tired of text appearing fuzzy when I moved a window from the iMac Retina display to the monitor on the right. This solved that problem and kept the overall dimensions of the iMac and the Dell monitor similar. Very happy with the purchase.

I bought a new U3219 during the pandemic. I only used it for ~6 mo total b/c it is in a secondary location. Picture was great, until it developed dead pixels, then the whole screen went bad after 18 mo of ownership, just outside warranty.

Size, functionality and color accuracy for me was what sound me on this monitor, I’m replacing it with my LG 27inch 4K monitor, that’s still a great monitor, but the size of the Dell was the perfect upgrade. Do I recommend this monitor, 100% I do, is it perfect, it is not, I wish the power button and joystick place was at the back, but is not a deal breaker because of how easily it was to use. I’d say if you have to money go for it!

I have had the LG UltraFine 5K for years now, so thats my primary benchmark. I also recently tried the new Apple Studio monitor. That one wins from a pure quality point of view, but its just too pricey for what offers. The Dell I had to fiddle with settings to get it to stop looking terrible. Im specifically mostly concerned with text clarity because Im a software developer, and this would be my primary monitor to stare at code all day. The Dell is OK once you set it to one notch over into scaled with more space in Apples dumbed down selector. I would have expected the Dells native to be optimal, so that was weird. I also use this one vertically.. so one note is that 32 vertical is just about too tall. I found my neck cricking just a bit when looking up to the top (I have it centered in front of my eyes). Anyways, even with fiddling, the quality is not there. I shouldnt expect it, either, given the difference in pixel density, but I thought Id see if it was good enough. Not quite, in my view. But Im finicky. The brightness was just about good enough. A smidge less bright than the UltraFine, but in my room with lots of windows it did OK. I wish there were more Retina monitors available. I started looking mainly because Ive noticed some ghosting on my UltraFines, and I dont really want to buy this old technology again, but I also dont want to spend $1700 for basically the same thing screen-wise. So this one is OK, but just barely good enough for my purposes. I decided not to keep it.
