Good old tack sponges. Ive needed new ones for a long time, found these at Amazon and theyre perfect. Amazon is quickly becoming my go-to place for horse-related equipment.

As a sponge they are great. But not as big as I hoped for. They are only 3 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick.

Perfect little sponges for my leather-working. Kids thought they were cakes and wanted to eat them, but alas, they are indeed sponges.

I used one with some leather dye remover on it and it dissolved in my hand. Not what I expected. Maybe oiling leather will be a better use

Tried these for applying saddle soap on equine tack and boots. Does a great job. Also great for applying wax to bronze and wood--the only two I have used these on to date. Was worried they were too small but do not think so not...just right.
