Using Crucial System Scan software (available for free), I knew that 32GB RAM would work in empty slot of my laptop. Everything worked out.

Works well in my TUF Book

I tried two other types of RAM on my XPS 17(9710) and neither of them worked. The first was the wrong voltage so it should have downgraded its speed and still worked, but it did not. The second had the correct voltage but would tend to crash the machine as more memory was used. One of the sticks passed a memory test once, but neither of them ever did again. It took FOREVER to identify this as the problem because it didnt fail right away.

Have used Crucial Ram a number of times without problems.
