> 3 dayGreat SSD really speeds up load times. Check your motherboard or extra parts for the standoff and mounting screw this is just the SSD.

Cool Joe
11-11-2024Amazing! I installed this SSD on an Acer E5-576-392H laptop in June 2019. The laptop came with a blank M.2 slot. It already had a 5400 rpm 1TB HDD, so I switched the HDD to secondary, and transferred over the Windows license and now boot from this SSD. Acer said that they had not tested this drive nor any 1TB or 2TB drives on the E5-576-392H, but this SSD works fine, and I would believe that any M.2 SSD would of any size or type. Acer also says that NVMe/PCIe drives are not supported on the E5-576-392H, but this SSD works perfectly fine, and I would believe that any M.2 SSD would as the slot allows for both NVMe/PCIe and SATA III. Crucials site also doesnt yet show that this is guaranteed compatible with an Acer E5-576-392H, but it clearly is compatible. Some people say that the SATA III-only bus and motherboard on the Acer E5-576-392H would limit the speeds on this NVMe/PCIe SSD, but Im getting 1,569.7 MB/s Seq Read Q32T1 with CrystalDiskMark 6.0.2 x64. Im not sure whether or not this drive could go faster on a more advanced bus and motherboard. I have been using this drive with Windows 10 for a month now with no problems. Ive also copied and removed hundreds of GB to and from it with no problems. Everything boots so quickly. I cant imagine that I would ever need any more speed that this. Now that the prices are low, I cant see why anyone would go to 3.5 drives if their machines have an M.2 slot. Im thinking of getting one of these some day with a small adapter case for ultra-compact storage. They are way tinier than they look on the website. They are only 7/8 wide and 3.5 long.
