Crucial P1 1TB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe Internal SSD, up to 2000MB/s - CT1000P1SSD8

I tried this SSD out in an older desktop workstation PC running Debian Linux. I bought the least expensive PCIe adapter card I could find (around twelve dollars) to install it. Even though it has an SSD as the primary drive, the workstation only has SATA 1 and USB 1.1 and 2.0, so Im used to relatively slow speeds. Once I installed the card and rebooted, the NVMe didnt show in the files list, but it hadnt been formatted. It showed right up in the Gnome disks utility. I benchmarked it immediately, and, wow. Those speeds may not look like much to those who have later gen equipment, but the speeds were impressive for this older system.

I bought a new motherboard, cpu, ram and SSD. With that said, I have no way to secure the SSD to the motherboard as the screw is not included with the SSD.

Meiner Meinung nach kann man nichts wirklich negatives an dieser SSD finden.

Ich hatte folgendes Problem nach einbau der M.2 NVMe SSD. Vorweg habe ich eine Sata SSD und eine M.2 SATA SSD schon in meinem PC eingebaut. Der PC hat problemlos funktioniert, bis ich die Crucial NVMe SSD hinzugefügt habe.

this drive is phenomenal, super fast, especially for huge games (with no OS on board the drive). Forza Horizon 4 on pc boots in 5 seconds flat, which is an 80+ gig game and is notorious for long load times, but Forza is no match for this bad boy. even GTA 5 loads noticeably faster, but load times for that game are going to be stupidly long regardless of what drive or platform youre on because the loading process was developed by infants. i havent tried the loading exploit through the games files that was recently discovered, but i assume with that it would be way faster especially with this drive.
