This is confusing. I have a 2017 27 iMac 3.4ghz. When looking at About this Mac under memory it states : iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)

I used it for my dell g3 3579 because i could barely get 5 fps in warzone because it needs minimum 16gb ram. i used the stock ram alongside this one and it fixed lag in all games for me as they were running on 100% usage. works perfectly i would recommend this one because it is from a trusted brand and you can check which one works for your laptop on crucials website too. Overall a great memory stick.
