Corsair RMX White Series (2018), RM850x, 850 Watt, 80+ Gold Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply - White, 80 PLUS Gold (CP-9020188-NA)

Really liked that this psu is completely modular. My last build I used one that was labeled as modular but had two hard wired cables, one of which I never used and it just collected dust in the case. This one was interesting in that the fan is only supposed to kick in under heavy load

The power supply was dead on arrival. I used the same AX850 for almost 8 years before it gave out. This RM that I ordered lasted 0 days. Returning asap.

The fan doesn’t turn on, only is on when it boots up.

Got this as an upgrade from a previous installed RM750x (white edition too!) I thought it would a good upgrade further down the line as RMx series are good PSUs and I wanna future proof my build more. Good thing the RMx series are interchangeable through their cables. All I literally did was replace my old RM750x with my new one and plugged in all the current cables in the same spots and my build works just like before.

Easy to install, has a bag to hold extra power cables that are not used. The cables feel strong and the white matches corsair white cases. Great for a white build PC.

Ordered one to fit into my system to use my new 3080 and I (foolishly) installed it before testing it. Turned out it wouldnt power on at all. Tried replacing it and the replacement had the same issue.

I like the flexibility the power supply has for cabling, my case is a lot less cluttered with power cables I dont need. It performs well.

I have what I guess is the previous version of this power supply. Ive owned it for about a decade now and its worked without issue.
