I was happy with this psu until recently. I started randomly restarting, fan died, and theres noise coming from my case now. All symptoms of a failing psu.

I upgraded my video card and was told I would have to upgrade my power supply also. Ive done both once before so I thought what the heck I can do this! it wasnt that easy! the video card was not an issue but the power supply, Yikes! it came with a bag full of assorted wires you MAY need for different set ups. I was overwhelmed and at first thought this was way over my head! I didnt know where to plug the wires into the power supply. anyways I took a breath a read the instructions many times over and was able to figure it out. was it worth it! Hell Yeah! my picture quality is excellent now!

first PSU i evert had blow up, lasted 18months stay away from corsair they make junk, theyre warranty is also terrible and a hassale wouldnt even send me a replacement so i bought an evga!

Installed the PSU in a system that should draw 550~600 watts under load and noticed a few months later that some of the plastics in the unit had melted. Seemed to be something that a power coil was wrapped around. PSU is still functional but I certainly dont trust it enough to use it again. Recommend you go with EVGA instead.

It’s a Corsair product. Their reputation precedes them. Excellent quality, as usual.
