Greater than one weekSo I got this for a new pc build expecting it to come with all its cables and in a box As advertised . But instead I got the product bubbled wrapped with no power cord and only three total cords that don’t look in good shape. No idea if this was a mistake but I would expect to at lest get what was advertised. No idea if this is standard but found this disappointing will be trying to send it back for a new one.

> 3 dayI bought a 850w corsair 11 years ago and it finally crapped out. I bought this 850w replacement because I trust the name and because it lasted so long. turning it on and off every day equals about 4000 plus cycles. Being a heavy gamer running 2 video cards with everything overclocked I wanted something that would last and it did. With this new unit, its nice having a modular design so I only plug in the cables that I need instead of having to hide the entire load in my box restricting airflow and being a general pain when you need to add something having to work around all those extra cables that were supplied at the time. This was a great buy. Thank you Corsair

> 3 dayMy first modular PSU. How amazing. I can’t even hear it, and I’ve had nothing but smooth performance.

> 3 daySet up easily, everything was running fine for about 2 weeks. Restated after some software updates to my computer and everything crashed. Did paperclip test, PSU dead. Swapped with another PSU, motherboard dead. New motherboard with swapped PSU, no boot, CPU fried. Buyer beware, killed my whole system.

Greater than one weekThe installation experience was horrendous in my Corsair 4000d case, the cables were colliding with my other cables and wouldnt stay where I wanted them to. It works as a power supply, and installation was easy except for that cable issue.

> 3 dayOverall a great PSU. I gave it 3 stars for Easy to Install and Ill explain. Full Modular PSUs should be able to just unplug one PSU, swap in a new PSU, and plug in. With out the need to swap out all the power cables. However this is not a truth. The headers will match, meaning they will plug into where they are supposed to plug into. But, the wiring will not always match. So lets say on your current PSU for cable A. The number 1 wire on your current power supply is negative. But on your new power supply the number 1 wire could be positive. This can cause your components to either not turn on at all or in worse case scenarios fry outright. If youre new to using or swapping out a fully modular PSU for a new fully modular PSU you will need to remove all the power cables and use the cables that come with the new unit.
