> 24 hourI have a big family and they all have friends so my kitchen is like Grand Central Station. Because I have 5 sons, ramen-style noodles are very popular in my house along with cereal and pasta dishes. So the tableware that gets used most is bowls. For years, my husband has been begging me to just buy Corelle because they dont break easily. I resisted because its just so plain looking. In the mean time, Ive purchased all manner of bowls trying to find the perfect ones for my family. They had to be BIG and they had to be sturdy and they had to be microwave safe and they had to be stain resistant. I recently found some great, red, plastic bowls that met all of my requirements and I was thrilled until I realized that they take up way too much space in the cabinet in the numbers I need. (I still love them, though.) Sooo, in a fit of frustration, I ordered this set of 6, plain, white, Corelle bowls. Seriously, Im kicking myself for not doing it sooner. These bowls are freaking perfect for us. They easily hold a bowl of ramen (28 oz.) with plenty of slosh room on top so my family isnt spilling constantly. They nest compactly inside each other so I can stack 12 of them in the space it took for 6 of my previous bowls. They are completely microwave safe - even for fatty items that tend to melt plastic bowls. They are completely stain resistant. And of course, they are as sturdy as Corelle claims. They are still plain, boring white but because they work so well for my family, Im starting to see the beauty in them.

> 24 hourI bought them to supplement the ones I already had. The problem was running out of bowls between times the dishwasher is run. Now why, you might ask, did I only give them 4 stars for sturdiness and durability when you know that they are very sturdy and durable. The answer is that we have had one bowl self destruct in the past. It was sitting in the cabinet and all of a sudden it just cracked. It might have been under some stress in the past.

> 24 hourA longtime user of the 18 oz cereal bowls and the plate-sized pasta bowls from Corelle, it was time to find the perfect midpoint for soup and especially ramen noodles. This fits the bill. Slightly thicker rims than most of the other bowls, but they still feel very light. The standout flaw: The steeper sides mean the bowls dont stack well. (They dont nest neatly like the other Corelle bowls and slight imperfections in the shape/roundness of each means a tall, crooked stack in the cupboard, no matter how OCD you are. I highly recommend pairing the matching lids for this size bowl as a great gift for collegiates or Ramen-lovers. You can microwave, eat and/or store noodles or vegetables- all in the same bowl.

> 24 hourThese bowls are large, very large, soup bowls. Typical Corelle quality - durable, easy to clean, dishwasher safe, and perfect to travel in the RV. I also use them as small serving bowls for veggies when dinner is for just 2 of us.

> 24 hourBroke after 2 years of use while sitting in the sink after being rinsed out. Very strange. Also-a very strange break pattern. Sad news for us!
