> 3 dayI love composite shims. They dont swell, rot or split like wood. These shims are of the same quality found in my local home improvement stores, but man, they are priced ridiculously high. $8 for a 12 pack, $13 for a 24 pack. Locally, they cost $2.28 for a 12 pack.

> 3 dayThese worked perfectly for my off-balance washing machine. These are decently durable and hold well under the weight and movement of the machine. I much prefer plastic over wood when I dont need to break or trim the shims, because plastic is more resistance to moisture in places like my basement and garage.

Greater than one weekI love that the shims are plastic and not wood. No worrying about splitting or splinters or anything like that. They seem to be a lot stronger and a lot more sturdier. And easier to adjust. Because they are plastic they stay in place better and these are black so they look a lot better on the floor or under your table or wherever it is that you’re putting them. They are long but they were very easy to break or trim . These are great value for the price.

> 3 dayI used these to level the granite on my outdoor kitchen. They DO NOT snap off like you would imagine, BUT they do the job and can be scored with a box knife and then snapped off, or cut flush with a grinder if you have the room.

> 3 dayI need these shims to use to balance outdoor products. Its made of a composite plastic and other materials so its weatherproof. The price is great and Ill be able to use this set for a number of different settings. Id recommend these for any setting where theres the possibility of water. You dont have to worry about them absorbing water and swelling. (Can you tell this is something thats happened to me before? :)

> 3 dayThese are easy to install under furniture on carpet. They are long, so youll have to trim once leveled.

> 3 dayThese are made from a good quality plastic that allows the shim to bend and not snap and they dont deform easily under a weight. Since these do not snap easily, they are better suited for placing under a table, workbench, etc., that needs to be leveled up so as not to rock. They are not well suited for construction tasks, such as shimming a window or door during installation--wood is the better choice there.
