> 24 hourSo far it seems to be doing the job. I am not sure it has a good enough ground. Have not been able to check swrs yet either due to weather conditions. UPDATE: 4-4-17 This mount has caused my swrs to be the highest I have ever seen. I have raised and lowered the antenna and the swrs seem not to do anything...better or worse...it does nothing. The mounting screws are hitting bare metal so I guess it has a ground. Something isnt right, and it could be me, but I have had other mounts in the past, and this one does not seem to work with my dual band diamond antenna (2/440) As of now, I cant suggest this mount without knowing how to get a good ground to it. You will not get this problem with a mag-mount, which I guess I am going to have to get since this didnt work out. Total waste if money...it is missing a crucial ground and I dont know how to get it right.

> 24 hourThis little lip mount was easy to install on my Subaru Forester 2010. Be sure that you ground it properly if you decide to buy it. Ask your local hams for help if you need help installing it, that’s what they’re for. My only concern was what I’ve been seeing a lot with newer uhf style connectors, and that is that manufacturers are not filling the part that separates the inner conductor and outer with much. There is nothing but air and a small bit of plastic between the outer and center conductor. I’m concerned how well this mount will hold up in the weather over the long haul, but I haven’t heard any complaints from others. Also I checked just now my magnount has the same issue and it’s been holding up for about 4 years now.

> 24 hourThe core of the large friction washer broke out after less than a year installed on my 4Runner. Most of that time there was no antenna installed on the base (HF only occasionally) and it was even more rare for me to drive with it installed (ATAS-120A). I will be buying another one for parts to avoid having to completely tear apart my headliner to re-run cable, but I cannot recommend.

> 24 hourThis a great setup for my 2013 Subaru Outback. It is fully angle adjustable and fits right into the upper left corner of the hatch back. The wire/cable portion that passes through from outside the vehicle to inside is small and therefore accommodates any closing “pinch.” The only “buyer beware” note I would make is in antenna attachment. In order to attach my Firestik II antenna, I need to buy an adaptor. Here’s the note from the US rep who was very helpful, “The adapter you need to turn the existing SO-239 connector on the mount into a 3/8-24 socket to accept the 3/8-24 stud on the antenna is model: AD-35M” Apparently there is a model of this lip mount that would have directly accommodated the Firestik, but Amazon failed to point that fact/choice out in their write-up. All of that aside, it’s a great piece and I would recommend it.

> 24 hourLove this mount. I bought it with a Yaesu ATAS 120A. Mount is solid as a rock. Great product for heavier antennas!

> 24 hourI tried to ignore the other reviews and just installed this mount right out of the box. Sure enough, my mobile radio couldn’t transmit at all. So I did what everyone else has to do, and disassembled the entire mount and used a dremmel to scrape powder coat and paint off every screw thread and washer; anywhere two pieces of the mount touched, I took the paint off. Then I put it back together and checked with a multi-meter to make sure there was continuity all the way through the mount. Finally I was able to re-install it and my radio worked. If you do not do this, your mount will absolutely not ground itself and your radio will not work. Otherwise, a great, versatile, and rugged piece of hardware.

> 24 hourAwesome. Easy to install, no movement to rub paint. The functionality is wonderful due to the ability to move an antenna up or down as your circumstance requires, the top portion pivots. My Ham antenna shows perfect reception.
