Coding for Kids: Learn to Code Javascript - Video Game Design Coding Software - Computer Programming for Kids, Ages 11-18, (PC, Mac, Chromebook Compatible)

Whether you have a child whos interested in learning java coding or wants to write their own games, or youre a website designer whod like to be able to increase your own skill set, Simply Coding is a great place to start. I know what Java does from a user standpoint but Ive never coded or written my own program. But with this Game Design Software package, I had written my very own Pong game on the first night!

I picked this software up for my 18 year old daughter. Shes a freshman in a college graphic art degree. She loves learning code. She told me this program was confusing to her, but added that she already knew how to write HTML which is part of the Javascript in this program. So trying to run through it already knowing how to do it was confusing to her. So I signed in and gave it a whirl. I was confused at first until I understood how the program works. Its a little dated in its layout - for instance once you finish a lesson you have to scroll all the way back up to the top to click on the next lesson. It would be nice to have a smoother interface - but Im here to review the content. And the couple of lessons I did were very clear and easy to follow. For me - Im not sure a younger child would follow as easily but then again, if theyre into this stuff, theyll figure it out. In addition to the written lesson theres a video overview to help you our on each lesson as well.

This is a very bad product. Dont waste your money. It is not kid friendly and I am sure a lot of adults may not be able to follow it.

My son loves simply coding and has learned so much. There are other courses once this one is completed. The instructors are wonderful and great with our 13 year old son. This is the best Christmas gift we have ever bought for our son. We would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in coding.

I purchased for my teenage son. He opened it, checked it out once & never touched again. Not sure if it was to hard or to easy. It certainly didn’t entertain him. Not worth purchase.

We put together her computer -- and it didnt work. I went through a lot of testing and deduction to figure out the problem. Its raspberry pi based, which requires an SD card with bootup software. Fortunately I had another raspberry pi in the house already, with working software. Through trial and error, discovered the SD card they sent her isnt functioning.

The course is easy to follow, explicit instructions broken down into step by step. I am taking the course with my 13 year old son and I am just us excited. After you finish a lesson you cant wait to start the next. This is a great course for children or first time users of Java. It also come with comes with a free 8 gig usb flash drive. Totally recommended.

My 12 year son loved this program. Its easy to navigate and well designed. He didnt need any adult help. I am surprised that this is his first online learning experience and everything was so smooth. People at Simply coding make sure you get enough support (Online chat and web sessions). I highly recommend this product.

This Coding for Kids Game Design Software will be an amazing gift for my 10 year old nephew. He is homeschooled and loves mine craft. This system will teach my nephew how to create his own games and help promote his thinking skills and help his imagination run wild.

This coding for kids game is THE PERFECT gift for kids. I love the educational “games” for kids, when they think it’s a game and they don’t realize they’re learning. This coding for kids is a 30 hour course, teaches kids to design their own software or websites. There is a free trial period, I’ll update this review later when I have more info. I got this for my 10 year old son. He absolutely loves this!
