> 24 hourVery easy to use, but compared to $300 testers, the accuracy is off a bit-not a lot, but a few percent. Tests GFCIs but NOT AFCIs but both should be tested with the button on the device anyway. Takes SIX AA Batteries. Why not just a single 9V? Overall, great for a handyman and a back-up for a home inspector.

> 24 hourThis meter has proven to be invaluable to me as a homeowner who likes to do his own electrical work and TShoot friends and family electrical problems...I can attest the meter is quite accurate for the measurements I can compare with my Fluke 87-V... If one understands electricity and basic ohms law then this meter should be a snap to use...The voltage drop under digital loads and the impedance readings for the hot, neutral and ground with a live circuit is very useful...Along with the voltage drop these impedance readings can help diagnose issues as you work back on a circuit toward the main..The trip tests for standard and GFCI breakers can help determine if breakers are failing or just plain dont trip when they should... I do wish this meter gave a relative load reading on the circuit before doing each amperage load test...I believe the Ideal tester does this, but then again it cost $300... I believe this Mastech is accurate enough for the DIYer who doesnt want to spend $300 on a meter they may use only once a month or even less...The Mastech brand has been around for years so that lends some credibility as to the potential longevity of this meter...Overall, for the price its a quality purchase...
