The directions come with them - 7 easy steps. I’m not sure why people say instructions don’t come with them. Look in the box. I programmed 3 openers in under 3 minutes. It was very simple and they work great on my old Craftsman Red learn button garage door opener. The directions tell you how many clicks in programming so the opener knows the color of your learn button. Perfect!

Bought a home with only one garage door opener. Both my car and wife’s had buttons on vehicle to program. After literally spending hours trying to get our car buttons to sync to garage door, I gave up. Bought this and setup worked in seconds via YouTube instruction video. 5 stars!!

About six months ago, we had our old garage door opener switched out with a new Chamberlain B6753T unit, and along with it came two remote control openers. The one thing I noticed from the beginning was that the new openers could transmit from a long distance and open the door. That was really nice; when I rounded the corner, the door was almost open, and I could drive in immediately. However, my wifes newer car had a link system that we programmed to open the garage door. But after six months of using it, you had to be so close that it almost didnt open until you were right on top of it. So we decided to go ahead and purchase another one of the Chamberlain openers, and she is so happy with it now because she can open the door from a longer distance, and there is little waiting time to drive into the garage.

My old garage door opener remote abruptly quit. We installed it in 2010, so not new. Ordered this close match. My adult son took over the programming for me. You will have to climb up to your garage door opener and press the program button, identify the color code of the opener, and program accordingly. No challenge to my son—who is 10” taller than me. For anyone vertically challenged, you will have to reach your installed opener—but I imagine they’re all like that. He said an improvement would be if the diagrams were in color, but it was fixed in under 10 minutes

We have a chamberlain, LiftMaster, garage door opener, and this remote links up very quickly. Most of the instructions don’t even need to be followed. We just synced it directly to the wall unit.
