Cashel Wounded Warrior Crusader Fly Mask

> 24 hourCashel changed their sizing, the mask that I usually buy for my horse was too small this year. Usually can count on their masks lasting a whole season and then some, but this new mask tore on the velcro the first day after a couple of hours. Quality is not what it used to be.

> 24 hourI have three horses, and frankly, Im stumped. All three lose their masks at least twice a week. One is a 14-2 hand fatty with a babydoll head. One is a 15 hand average Qhorse with somewhat of a narrow jughead. The last is over 16 hands and although her head is very feminine, her head is large. I bought horse size for all 3, and I feel these fit well. Maybe the smaller horse has a bit extra strap that I have to fold to fit it well against her jowl, but other than that, its all good. And I LOVE these masks as they stay away from the eye area well, dont rub the hair off, dont sweat the horses where they are close (behind ears and across muzzle), and keep their shape even after a few washing (gentle cycle, minimal soap). But they must slide off easily, usually when the horse decides to stick their fool head in the bushes, or scratch heavily against the steel pipe gate. Im sure it is because of the soft, stretchy material at the top. However, all the pluses outweigh the need for a walk-about a few times a week to find a missing mask (or two...). I guess Id say to buy one size smaller if your acreage is big enough that mask-recovery would be a hardship.

> 24 hourGreat fitting fly mask for a large pony - its always hard to find a mask that fits him properly. This one is great and is well constructed. I dont think Ive ever had one with a little hole for his forelock - that is kinda neat. It has survived the shenanigans of a true pony. Im ordering another one now for next season!

> 24 hourThis mask works great, holds up really well out in the pasture, and best of all, makes my horses look like super heroes!

> 24 hourLove these fly masks. They fit well and the elastic attached to the Velcro closure makes them very adjustable. The Velcro holds very tight and doesnt appear to be effected by sand/dirt. Ive used these fly masks for the past two summers and they hold up well (havent had any fraying in the mesh around the eyes where the horses tend to rub).

> 24 hourThis mask is both super cute as well as highly durable. My mare with uveitis wears hers 24/7, 365 days a year, and Ive had hers over a year and its still in great shape. She rolls in it every day, too! I love the design with the ears and forelock- I get to see her hair and it stays in place perfectly. I will never own another type of fly mask after this!

> 24 hourI buy 2 Cashel masks every summer, they are the best, very rugged yet designed with comfort of the horse in mind. My OTTB seems to find a way to pull it off every once in a while if its not snugged up enough, but I think thats pretty common. Lesser quality masks tend to fray over the eye socket, where horses love to rub; Cashels dont. I especially liked that I could support Wounded Warriors with my annual purchase, and admire the company for providing this option.
