Cashel Crusader Horse Fly Mask with Long Nose, Grey, Horse

This mask does a good job of protecting my horses pink nose from the harsh summer sun. But it is not very durable. It already needs to be replaced after one month. There is a large hole in the eye area and the knit fabric above his eyes has several small holes. I certainly expected this mask to last longer than it has.

Actually, I wasnt too pleased as I ordered a horse size. The box I received said size: horse. When I put it on my horse, it was way too small. It didnt come close to covering his nose. When I looked at the tag on the mask itself, it said size: Arabian Horse.

Love these fly masks. The long nose goes past three tip of the nurse to fully cover from sun. Fits great and feels soft and comfy. I was these regularly and they good up fantastic. One mask lasts me about 2-3 summers. The Velcro is very strong. Definitely recommend this product!

I put it on my horse every morning. I ordered this because of the nose piece so that he would not get sunburned. He almost jumps into it! He likes it better than his old mask.

Works perfectly for my bald faced paint mare, protects her from sunburn as well as keeping the flies away from her face. The long nose is perfect.

I love the full nose and coverage. I thought I bought the one with full nose AND the full ears, but didnt notice it didnt have the ears covered. Oh well, Its still a good buy and a good mask. I have had another one and its lasted this season with just a mild tear. I think there is a life time guarantee on these as well! So, I can likely return the other one with the small tear.

I bought this fly mask about a month ago to protect my pink nosed paint from sunburn. So far, its been a very satisfactory purchase. He is on pasture board, so he is turned out 24/7, and he has worn this fly mask for about a month. It has yet to tear, and he is very hard on it. I ordered the horse size, and it fits him perfectly. Charlie has a very large head, so I considered going one size up, but there was no need. I would say that this fly mask runs large for sure. In most halters I cant get a horse size, so I was pleasantly surprised when this fly mask fit so nicely. Very satisfied.

This fit my horse perfectly except around the nose. The adjustment Velcro needs some help to prevent the webbing from fraying or tearing at seam when the poor fit adjustment let’s the horse rub it off. My horse is a Medicine Hat tobiano saddle horse with a slim nose. The long nose horse size fit perfectly except around the nose and the adjustment Velcro wasn’t adequate for a fit that wouldn’t allow her to rub the whole thing off. After some fiddling, we rigged it to be tighter and she didn’t rub it off again(yet). I noticed a slight fraying at seam on nose piece from that one rub-off. Maybe greater care could be taken at seams. Horses WILL be horses!
