I will call Canon today to ask for a resolution to this issue. I have had tec smart friends help me they shake there heads in frustration. CALL CANON OR SEND IT BACK THEY SAY.

As soon as I set it up I got low ink warnings. When I replaced the color cartridge with a high capacity cartridge I got a message saying the ink quantity was unknown. To set up the printer you have to enter your router password. My password contains numbers, symbols and letters and it took me hours and numerous YouTube videos to figure it out. I successfully printed ONE page that came out in black and white when I specified color and when I tried to print another page I get an error message saying it cant find the printer. When setting up the printer you get a message saying to refer to the message on your PC. I have a Mac and never found the message. I WILL NEVER BUY A CANON PRODUCT AGAIN!

This is a great printer for the money. But i dont understand why it doesnt come with software.

Ive had this printer for several years now, and it is the worst printer Ive ever used. 1) It will not connect to my home network. My laptops, Alexas, smartplugs, and cell phones have no problem, but after entering the network password, it says it cant connect. It sees the network just fine but never connects. 2) Constantly jams!! Grrrrr! 3) Printing from a phone is nearly impossible. 4) Canons phone apps wont connect to the printer either and frequently crash. 5) Scanning will work if you connect a USB cable and PC directly, but who wants to do that? It is supposed to be wireless!

Had to replace an older printer that would not for some odd reason hook up to my work laptop to work from home. Got tired of trying to figure out why it was not working and just ordered this printer hoping I would not have similar issues. Was very pleasantly surprised and amazed that it just worked, no driver issues, no program to download, just plugged it in, installed the printer cartridges and it just worked. I ordered this particular one because it was a good price and came with not only a USB cable to hook it up but also an extra set of printer cartridges for when the original set runs out I will already have replacements to keep going...(see picture of all that came in box) So we shall see how well it does in the long run but so far Im pleased with the package Heres hoping your experience is as pleasent.
