Update: have owned for a couple of months now and they def do stretch out. I got the 8 and they were a touch whisker like on the crotch area but after a couple of wears, they stretch out to fit perfect, just like my navy ones did. i already owned these slacks in Navy that I purchased at Lohmans a bit ago. Im 510 and a size 8. And the navy ones fit perfect and needed no tailoring. My old black slacks got lost so I purchased these in black and I hoped theyd fit like the Navy ones. If you are used to teen type sizes like H&M or Forever 21 than yes go down a size but if you are used to womans brands like CK, Kenneth Cole, or Jones New York, than stay to your true size. At first I was nervous because they were a little tighter in the thighs than my navy ones but I wore them around the house for a day and they stretched to fit perfectly. These slacks do have lots of stretch which is great for comfort but know that they will give slightly once youre wearing them so a little tight when you first wear them is good. Otherwise theyll be baggy and nobody wants saggy slacks butt. They are long. The cut is perfect for women with a little hip. Not boot cut but wide enough at the bottom to give you a little balance. You can see in my photo that at 510 they go all the way to floor and at 39in hips fit pretty perfect. Theres a little pull in photo from way I was standing but thats it. Good luck!

I had to return these because they were too small. They seemed to be a good quality though.

These had a nice fit overall but were not straight legged. Even for a boot cut pant, the legs were way too wide.

These are really good looking pants, but they seem to run a little on the small side.

The waist fits fine but the length is way too long I am 5’ 4” and the pant are more than 6 inches of extra length …the fabric is soft bought a size 8 .

The fit of these pants is amazing. If you travel and hate wrinkled slaks, you have to buy these. Im a Latina 52/140#, waist 34, hips 39. I bought a size eight. Thats my true size. They felt snug when I first put them on, but they will relax around the seat in no time. It also is not a high waist cut, so the waistband sits comfortably at my belly button. Theyre long, but I expected to get them altered to fit my height. They look and feel like you paid more than double. I got the navy and is so dark I had to verify my order, cause in low light try look black. I want to get a pair in white or crean, but theyre not lined and I hate seeing the pockets showing through the fabric. Maybe someone else has a good review on that. I hope you at least do the try before you buy option. I hope this helps you decide.

I am 5’6” and the pants are very long even when I wear high heels. They are also a little loose but overall good quality.
