Got this in today. Was a tad worried my calf was going to be too big, but we have some really cold weather coming, and hes been sickly since I bought him and wanted to give him more warmth than just his little shelter, bedding, and one heat lamp. Really impressed with the quality it was when I unboxed it. Leg straps and front strap is adjustable. He doesnt seem to mind hes wearing it either. Definitely if your considering this one because of price and worry of the quality its definitely worth it. Swazye is sporting the regular sizing. And I think he will get to wear it several months before he out grows it.

Purchased for my 6month old mini donkey…fits her perfectly and has stayed in place! I would suggest this product for livestock in that 100 lb.range. Has kept her warm through the snow and cold this winter!

I really like the weight of this coat. I would consider it a light to medium weight coat. Its great for when theres a chill but its not brutally cold, so theres no need to remove and replace the blanket constantly. Our calves live in these blankets with occasional checks of their weight, and these coats never rub. The velcro stays sticky and they are easy to clean. A great coat for the price.

Big enough to fit for more than a couple of weeks. Keeps the calf warm and dry. Will buy again if need be!

Jersey calf was born in -15 weather and first 2 months of life rarely broke 0 degrees. She’s healthy and happy. Hasn’t even had cold ears. I got the small and the large, which she has outgrown. The large is about 2 inches longer and wider than the small, but the leg elastic seems to be the same length. It would be helpful if there was longer electric because then it could be worn longer. It’s still cold here

Calf jacket meets my expectations. The velcro at the neckline is thick and positioned correctly. The buckles are at the sides (instead of the back) how I prefer. And the straps are stretchy. Overall Im happy with the product. The picture attached to the review shows our little preemie calf snug as a bug in a rug after breakfast.

I use these blankets for bottle calves that are less than 2 weeks old, when they are most vulnerable to diseases, especially in the winter times when temps can get below or around freezing. I live in KY where the temperatures are probably not as severe as in the mid west. I do not have a lamp that keeps them warm. I keep my bottle calves inside in a stall with a layer of shavings and a good layer of straw bedding. I normally get the holstein large size that are too big for my angus bottle calves, but they seem to grow into them pretty quick and it keeps them warm enough without overheating.
