Brighton Beach Memoirs [DVD] [1986] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC]

This was our first viewing of the three Neil Simon Trilogies based on his life. My wife and I greatly enjoyed it. We watched it the first time in the privacy of our home without anyone else with us. When we took it to some lady friends home to share it with them, The 60 year old was offended by some of the subject matter, but overall enjoyed it we think, and the other friend in her who is 69 really enjoyed it and laughed most of the way through the movie. I gave it a four star instead of the five I really wanted to give it, because the movie does have some subject matter that is of human nature but yet offensive to some people. For that reason, I would not recommend it to be viewed by small children or youth.

A movie all about love of family in an unsettled time. Funny and absolutely correct, with outstanding characters.

One of Neil Simons absolutely brilliant flicks .. lots of humor .. great cast .. simply AWESOME !!

One of my favorite all-time movies. Had it at one time. It disappeared. Needed another one. Can watch it over and over.

Love the movie

Not the best play/movie by Neil Simon.... or of this genre... I expected something like Radio Days by Woody Allen and I got Schmaltz Stories ... Not bad.. entertaining...

This is a great coming to age movie for guys. Very funny, you have to watch it!

So glad I watched it again. Just as great today as it was so many years ago. Terrific movie.
