This is a very sturdy stand. Some people might have a problem with opening and closing it, that is not a one-hand operation. It is pretty tight. Which I suppose is one of the keys to being sturdy. Set it as you want it, and it will stay there unless you REALLY want it to move!

The Boyata Laptop Multi-Angle Laptop Stand with Heat-Vent completely met everything I was looking for, and blew away every other stands I had tried. First, It looks as amazing in person as it does in the photos. It is very firm to pry open and adjust, but thats perfect because it stays perfectly still once set up. It is very flexible, and should adjust to just about any angle and height you might want. Its nice to have the heat vent hole. Im using a Microsoft Surface Book with the screen turned backward, and the edge lip holds it perfectly in place. My only small disappointment is that there was some rubbing of the finish during shipping where the arms rubbed against the base plate. Overall, Im very happy with it!

I ordered a brand new stand and this one was an open box returned item. The box was damaged on all sides; however, the actual product seems fine. It didnt come with any literature inside the box and no assembly was required. Ill test it out and see if there are any defects if an exchange is needed or not.

I recently carried out an home office makeover that included adding two external 27 monitors to use with my laptop. Not wanting my laptop screen to go to waste, I sought out a stand that I could use to cradle my laptop as well - three screens!. I wanted the stand to be adjustable both in height and angle. This laptop holder is height-adjustable from about 2 up to about 6 or 7. The panel on which the laptop rests is also adjustable from a flat position to a nicely angled position. In combination, my laptop screen rises enough to be centered with the two monitors.

Great laptop stand. I was a little leary when it first arrived, due to my lack of trying to open it with any amount of force. Dont be afraid to pull it open and adjust the height and tilt. Yes, it is only one piece. Great product
