> 24 hourThe positions that this can get into are Amazing. The portrait mode is crazy because it’s so high and skinny, but hey, some people might find it useful. Because it can do portrait mode, the vertical raising and lowering range when it’s in landscape mode is huge. ** Update: One little item of note, for some reason my monitor came with the default setting to limit the display of max and min RGB colors! I was noticing that some very light gray items werent appearing on my monitor (but were appearing on my other monitor when I dragged the window over to it) To fix this make sure this is set in the menu: Picture Advanced --> HDMI PC Range --> RGB (0~255)

> 24 hourThe monitor has a good picture. Its not lit completely even, but I dont notice that in everyday use. I like having the USB ports on it, but they turn off when the monitor goes to sleep. Since i attached my wireless receiver for my keyboard and mouse to those ports, I cant wake it up. I need to press the button on my computer now. I can work around that, so its not a huge deal, but its worth mentioning. Also the sound is really bad, but thats to be expected on a product like this.

> 24 hourBeen using this for a couple of years now since it first came out and still there is nothing else that can replace this monitor for what I use it. I have three computers plugged into this thing simultaneously and swapping between them is trivial. Macs via TB and HDMI and PC via Display port. Ive even used it with the iPad Pro. Works like a champ, has excellent color, looks good and still cant be beat in early 2022. Amazing.

> 24 hourIs the BenQ PD3220U as good as Apples $5000 6K display? No. However, for my needs I found it to be a better value. I simply plugged in the Thunderbolt 3 cable into my 2020 Mac Pro and the display was recognized instantly. I really like the way the Hotkey selector works. This is much easier than reaching around the back of the display to make adjustments. While not as good as Apples ability to control their displays from the keyboard, Im perfectly happy with the control I have with the BenQ Hotkey selector. As a practical matter, once you have the settings the way you want them you probably wont fool with the controls again. BenQ has some good control software for this display that allows you to make many adjustments. You can download Display Pilot from their website. (You have to authorize the software to run on a Mac, no big deal.) You definitely do not need the Display Pilot software but, if you want everything you can possibly have adjustment wise Display Pilot will do it for you. Of course, the first thing I did was run Pixel Check 1.3 to check for stuck or dead pixels. None were found. Although, this problem seems to be largely fading away as companies have gotten better and making flat screen displays. My only negative is that I would prefer the manual to be printed rather than on the included optical disc. The sharpness and color are excellent. Perfectly fine for video work. The product is made in China.

> 24 hourReceived the monitor today. I bought it primarily because I want more resolution than 1920x1080. Unfortunately, no matter how I connect it to my MacBook Air (2013) I only get 1920x1080. (I have tried HDMI, VGA, and DVI - all using mini-displayport dongles.) A bit of research and it seems that my only option for full resolution is to use a mini-displayport to displayport cable. Of course this is the one cable not included with the monitor. (It would be nice if the user manual or the Amazon description had let me know Id need this cable so I could have ordered it at the same time as the monitor. They print the Mac logo on their box, but I wouldnt exactly say this is a Mac friendly device so far.) Once I get the new cable and (hopefully) experience the resolution I paid for, Ill update this review. At 1080p, the color is fantastic, text is crisp and readable, and everything was pretty much good to go out of the box. The Vesa mount worked fine for me. My favorite feature is the USB port on that back that I am using to connect my third monitor (a ViewSonic) using the GoFanco connector. All the cords are now managed behind the monitors, and I have my USB port back! I think Im gonna be happy with this monitor. Ill keep you updated.

> 24 hourWow, all i can say is if you edit video or photo and youre not using a 100%sRGB monitor get one ASAP. I could never go back to editing on any other moniotr, and the 4k makes it even better. I will only be using this monitor for editing and it is perfect for those tasks. Now i did not read that this monitor had built in speakers so that was an added bonus. The thing about the speakers is they are not good, at all. The built in speakers on my asus 75hz 1080p monitor which only cost $128 are way better, But like i said i did not buy this for speakers in a monitor. Another thing which everyone is complaining about, the brightness. Wow is this thing bright lol. Didnt notice the first couple days but when my room was dark and i had chrome open i thought i might go blind if i kept looking. Turning down the brightness does help though.

> 24 hourMy mom uses this monitor heavily for working from home and photo editing. It has super crisp image quality thanks to the resolution and the colors are very well calibrated. Only downside is the 60Hz refresh rate, since 75-144hz is becoming mainstream. However since shes not using it for gaming this is no problem. Highly recommend for productivity, video and photo editing use.

> 24 hourUsage Summary: Gaming -- 4/10. Doesnt blur much, but no g/f sync. Not great for hardcore gaming. Video Editing -- 8/10. DCI colorspace is probably _the_ next standard, if not there already. 95% coverage is very good. Online photo editing -- 10/10. 100% sRGB is nice and vibrant. Print photo editing -- 5/10. 84% is better than average, but not great. CAD -- Didnt really try this feature out. Office work -- 10/10. Ultrawide is amazing for multi-tasking. Slightly More Detailed Review: I commend BenQ for committing to flat ultrawides when the general trend is curved screens. Overall quality, IPS bleed, fit & finish, color consistency, and sharpness were all excellent. I would definitely consider this a premium product, as reflected by its price. I really wanted to love this monitor and had very high hopes once receiving it, but ultimately ended up returning it. In a nutshell, colorspace coverage and deltaE are not very good for serious photo editing (my most stringent usage case). 99.5% sRGB -- Excellent, as advertised. 84.2% aRGB -- Better than most laptops, but not great for lab prints. 94.6% dcip3 -- Slightly lower than advertised. I dont do video work, so this wouldnt have bothered me. 0.10 deltaE76avg -- Good. 2.61 deltaE76max -- Slightly concerning. 0.35 deltaE76rms -- Ok, but not great. Out-of-the-box calibration was very good, but was maybe 50 Kelvin too cool. For a general use monitor, though, all these numbers are actually good/very good. For professional work (photography in my case), it did not make the cut. Overall rating is 5 stars for general use, but 3 stars for photography.

> 24 hourLove this monitor so much I got another one. After years of dealing with one of my monitors not matching the other, Asus, one finally went out which was a blessing. got me to look for another monitor. After a lot of research, I got the BenQ. It was calibrated right out of the box and matched my printer. I liked that to turn the monitor on and off all you had to do was just run your finger across the bottom of the bezel, with no buttons to push in. My other Asus was still working but didnt match the BenQ, it was annoying. So I thought I would get another BenQ and hope it would match and it did. Happy camper. The 2 monitors match colors completely right out of the box. I print in the Prophoto color space and my old Asus PA249 handled it nice, but it went out and they discontinued it. I got the Asus PA248 didnt like the Prophoto color space. These BenQs handle the Prophoto color space beautifully. Lets just hope they last a long time. My Asus PA249 only lasted about 4 years. The PA 248 is sitting in the closet.
