These Bellemain Measuring Cups are dead-on accurate in their number one function: measuring. Im a hobbyist bread baker at home that relies on precise measurements to ensure consistency. From my picture you can see that the one cup is exactly 240 milliliters filled with a liquid (water), as measured by an Escali Arti measuring scale. I also spot-checked the 1/3 cup, and it, too, calibrated with the scale as 80 ml liquid. The cups are solidly constructed. They are heavy enough to keep from easily tipping over even when not filled. The stainless steel is polished and attractive in any kitchen. The cups nest inside each other seamlessly and come with a removable link chain. The set includes a total of six cups: 1 C, 3/4 C, 2/3 C, 1/2 C, 1/3 C and 1/4 C. Are there any negatives? Just one I see. The handles have a sharp edge to them. Theyre not razor sharp or knife-like sharp by any means. But they are sharp enough that a small child could inadvertently cut themselves. They are sharp enough to use as a utility tool to cut through tape on all of those Amazon boxes you get, but Im not recommending you do that.

One of our sets of measuring cups was made of graphite resin. After many years the 1 cup handle snapped off. So I went looking for a replacement. I am very pleased to say I found a better set! These are excellent measuring cups, accurate and proportional. Each measure is one piece of stainless steel with absolutely no seams or crevasses that are hard to clean. The rim is even and a leveling knife slides smoothly across each measure. The rim is only slightly flared, not rolled, which makes the measure work better and be very easy to clean. The handles are wide, not long, and easy to grip between thumb and forefinger and middle finger of either hand. The shorter handles make them easy to get into and out of a bag or box of flour, sugar, or corn starch. A wonderful feature is that they stack squarely either right-side up or down, preventing the handle from getting stuck in the drawer as you attempt to open it! The markings are clear, and easy to read under most light, though they can disappear in glare or reflections at certain angles. The extra 3/4 cup (180 ml) is very convenient. I tested each cup for volume as follows: Using a digital scale accurate to 1/8 oz I placed each measure on the center of the scale and adjusted the tare weight to zero (net). I then added room temperature water to full using an eye dropper to ensure a complete fill. The contents of each cup weighed 1/8 oz above the expected weight. Note that this is the accuracy of the scale. Also note that the method of filling ensures that the water domes above the cup. Also, I am pretty much at sea level, 70 degrees, and average air pressure. Just to be certain I tested other cups from different manufacturers that I have used many times and discovered they all measured this same way. (The weight of water at sea level is one pint (volume) = one pound (weight).) The only thing that would make this set better is if they included an 1/8 cup measure (2 oz) that stacked right in. This is a standard coffee measure, but I have found it very useful when making recipes for just two people. For example, a two-cookie chocolate chip recipe I make requires 1/8 cup of sugar, and it is easier to measure in one scoop than multiple table spoons.

Good quality with weight, i like the handle style with indent for fingers. Just could b longer on the smaller sized cups.

All of the handles have broken off my measuring cups making it difficult to level off flour etc. These are molded in one piece so it cant happen. I love that there is a 2/3 and 3/4 cup. They are sturdy, easy to read. Love them!!

I pretty much use these daily. They are sturdy, stack perfectly in my drawer, easy to read and measurements are good. While some may put them in the dishwasher, I clean mine each time and after many months they are in perfect condition!

This is my favorite measuring cup set by far! When all nested and stacked together, the height is low enough to fit in the drawer! And I LOVE that there is a 2/3 and 3/4 cup - very helpful!! These are the best!

Really cannot say enough good things about these measuring cups. We previously used a set of plastic measuring cups, and when the handle snapped off on one while trying to scoop out a cup full of sugar, we decided to toss the whole set and try out a stainless steel product. Id never heard of Bellemain before searching for these, but picked these based on the fantastic reviews. The price was a little higher than some competitors but nonetheless, all the reviews seemed to indicate that they were the ones to get. When they arrived, I thought they looked a little cheap in the packaging to be honest...they just come in a fairly plain looking cardboard box that is eerily reminiscent of lower cost import products. But I quickly forgot about that after removing them from the box. The design of these measuring cups is pretty much perfect. The measurement on each one is stamped into the metal handle, so youll never have to worry about it fading away or wearing off. The cups have a little nub on the front of each so that they stack great in a set and lay flat, so they dont take up much space or pop up to jam kitchen drawers like some other sets do. The stainless steel is the perfect thickness...not too thick to be annoyingly heavy, but thick enough that you can tell these things could take a beating and still last for many, many years. Some other reviews had some concerns about the handles being too short. Im 511 with slightly larger than average hands, and I didnt find the handle length to be an issue at all. Still plenty long to easily get a comfortable grip on even the smallest measuring cup. I actually found that I appreciated the short handles, because it makes them much easier to fit in our utensil drawer. All in all, easy five star rating for me. They clean up perfectly whether by hand or in the dishwasher, the measurements are accurate, and I can tell that these will withstand any abuse I throw at them. Id be surprised if I buy another set of measuring cups anytime in the next 25 years.

There are four significant things these cups have going for them: - First, each cup is stamped from a single piece of metal, meaning there are no spot welds or other bonds to break, leaving you with a handle-less cup. It also means that they have no crevices that are challenging to clean either by hand or in a dishwasher. - Second, the set has more than just the basic 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, and 1 cup measures, saving the cook time, and possibly improving accuracy. - Third, they stack/nest, and they do so really nicely, as the picture shows. - Fourth, they dont tip when full or empty. Longer- or heavier-handled cups tend to be tippy on the counter top. Most cooks probably see no benefit from a long-handled cup. These all seem like obvious/basic requirements, but seriously, many fancy measuring cups just dont execute these basics well. In fact, broken handles usually are why we (and any other cook) discard and replace measuring cups. Note that they are not flat bottomed, if that is a requirement for you, for some reason. They have a dimple in the bottom (like a champagne bottle). I think this is for strength or maybe it makes the cups more stable on the counter top. Well keep using the bottom of our highball cups for pressing-out cookies and the top of the highball cups for cutting biscuit discs. At this point, these seem like great measuring cups, although we have not checked their accuracy with a scale, etc. If I find a problem there, Ill update the review. If you need absolute accuracy, you really shouldnt be measuring baking ingredients by volume, but by mass/weight on a scale. (Sometimes we use a scale and sometimes we use measuring cups in our kitchen.) Finally, the seller shipped super-fast which is very welcome to us out here, many miles away!

I already have 2 other dry measuring cup sets. In my pic you see this set on the left and my 2 other sets. Technically, the set on the right is no longer a full set. As you can see, my other sets handles angle progressively higher, so I have to be very careful to get them to set just right in my baking drawer (limited kitchen space). And both of my previous sets have handles that are welded to the cups. The 1 cup from the set on the right got a bit stuck in the drawer and the handle broke off when I opened the drawer. While searching for cups that were all one piece I came across this set. And the fact that the top cup didnt really take up any more space than the bottom cup made me shout, SOLD!. But sometimes you need more than just one of a particular size cup. Im going to buy another set of these and give my other cups to my daughter, if she wants them. The handles are short, but I dont see that as a problem at all. There is no cup of any baking ingredient thats going to be too heavy to hold.
