The bumble bee Vocabulary Builder 1-5 videos are excellent. They helped my 18-mon son to speak and read greatly. Every word is so well illustrated in the vedio! The best part of them: My son loves these videos so madly and therefoer learned words from them so quickly!!! There are about 20 words in each vedio. And the Vocabulary Builder 1-3 have 5 multilanguage that you can choose: English, French, Spanish, German, and Japanese. That is 5-in-1 that can save you lots of money. They also have other extra benefits features such as sign language and Question & answer! The Motorized Madness is also good, it has 10 machines such as airplane, bulldozer, dump truck, backhoe loader, helicopter, bucket truck, boat, motlecycle, fire truck, and bus. It also explains each part of the machine, like the wings, propellers, engine, cab... The baby bumble bee surely produce the best of the best infant and kids reading program vedios in the market--as good as Dr. Titzers Your baby can read 1-5 DVDs and Dr. Glenn Dormans How to teach your baby to read book. I love baby bumble bees Opposites, Motorize, Actions words 1-3 and vocabulary builders 1-5 the most. Highly recommended!

My sons vocabulary is insanely advanced (at 16 months old he had 50 words), and I think this video series has helped. He was a super preemie so therapists were urging us to stay on top of his development (at one point his speech seemed behind). One therapist recommended this video series a few months ago. We play these videos (alternating Volumes 1 & 2) for him once every couple of days. Hes suprisingly entertained by them (theres no story, just pictures of things while a voice names them: Baby, Ball!) But he soaks it up, and recently started talking up a storm, pointing to things and yelling Lion! etc. Of course the videos dont get all the credit. I constantly narrate to him. But I highly recommended this video series.

I wanted to start my daughter on a video so that I would not have to speak and read to her all day. We got her the first video in this series when she was about 4 months old, I could put her in her walker and she would listen to it while playing. By six months she was in love with it, and it was the only time she was able to watch TV, but she would stand at the coffee table for at least 20 minutes of the DVD before wanted to do something else. I let a friend borrow it and she loaned me the Baby Einsteins DVD, which my daughter could not stand to watch, she did not even watch 5 minutes of Baby Einstein, what a bore! Needless to say I wanted to get her the second DVD for her 1st birthday. I was certain that I would like it just as much and my daughter would too. Well it is ok, probably as good as the first one, but my husband found a DVD set called First Impression. He got that for her birthday too. First Impression has 10 DVDs and they are divided by theme, Bee Smart does not, everything is lumped together. They both have good music but First Impression uses multiple genres and it is not the same style music over and over. Both sets use sight and sound, both series repeat the words and coinciding viedo, they are probably other similarities. However, First Impressions has a theme song which my daughter loves, she dances around, clapping her hands when the DVD starts and cheers at the end of the song. She can sit and focus for the 30 minutes the DVD is on, only occasionally does she want down or to do something else. We watch her DVDs 4 days a week for the last 3 months and she is not tired of them yet, neither am I actually. I still put the Bee Smart DVD on but frankly I dont like to any more, just because it lacks the form that First Impression provides. If you cant find the First Impression DVD, The Bee Smart series is a good choice, MUCH better the Baby Einsteins in my book, and my daughters.

Baby Bumbling is a failed attempt to copy Baby Einstein. Most children cried when I popped it in and those who did not cry and hide were not engaged in anyway. If you want to communicate with your child I suggest Signing Time. Children as young as 13 months learned to Speak, Sign & even READ using Signing Time. They were engaged the entire time and the benefits were visible from day 1! Baby Bumble is a bad investment, our copies (vol. 1 & 2) pretty much went from mail box to trash basket.

These are wonderful videos for babies ages 6 months or so, to about 2 or 3. Children I babysit for have them; and they are mesmorized by the soft, kind voice of the narrator, and the life-like pictures shown in the video. The neat thing about these videos is the simplicity of them, and the repetition that keeps the babies interested. Theyll show, for example, feet---and slowly, but interestingly, show many different sizes and colors of feet, then, later in the video, youll see the feet again. The narrator says the name of the object being shown, once when the object is first shown, then again, later on in the video. Kids dont even know theyre learning! Excellent videos!

I have the first three videos in the series; this one by far has the worst music, which sounds like a small thing, but over the span of a half hour it is annoying. The way the videos are structured could be better. For example - I should not have to wait through the intro (you cant forward through it) to get to a point where I can hit play. And on the DVD containers, they should list the words that are covered in that particular video.

My 22 month old loves this tape but he still has not spoken his first words. The music is relaxing and the pictures are intriguing. I would recommend it but do not count on it helping your child speak if he or she has speech delays.
