I have suffered attacks of sciatica that were horribly debilitating. At times when my right thigh cramped so severely that I was stopped from walking in midstride, I have had success in reanimating myself by knuckle-punching the uncooperative muscle. Having watched a lot of Kung Fu movies this put me in mind of nerve strikes based on acupressure, which is apparently the rational basis of this device. While I am not qualified as anything, I do have some books on the subject (which are now prohibitively expensive for some reason) and I have learned that the bladder meridian of the bodys chi flow runs through the leg where this item is fastened. Directly behind the knee is the point called Zhibian, which is used to treat sciatica among other things. The disc in the brace sits closer to a point called Heyang, at the high end of the bulk of the calf, which is pressed to alleviate numbness of lower extremities, and certain irrelevant conditions. As you might have guessed, any effect from activating these nodes could be achieved by hand without this product. In my experience the tightness of the band is uniform and doesnt specifically stimulate anything. When I wear it, pain remains in my lower back and hip. There may be a reduction in cramping, but my current episode is fortunately waning, so Im not sure how to attribute the cause of that. To the claim that this remedys design is inspired by science, my guess is that any empirical data which backs it was filtered through concepts of body energy and Yin/Yang. If those ideas in turn are objective realities or not, is your call. I could be completely wrong about the reasoning behind it, but the instructions are vague and the photographic examples of its usage are brightly generic, so Im forced to speculate as such. You know if you have sciatica that any relief is welcome, so considering all options is necessary. I can only judge this one with a resounding Maybe.

I was having real sciatic pain in my right leg. I decided to order overnight since I had to work the next day. It took a couple of tries to get the proper placement and when I got it in the right spot, my sciatic pain was relieved. Now I have to say that the “BeActive’ not only relieved my sciatic pain, it also seems to realign my entire body. I stood taller today, which also gave me some other pains but they were not intolerable. What can I say, stand taller and straighter any your does need to adjust. I’ll continue to use until my body gets used to it

The BeActive brace relieved my sciatica pain almost immediately. I am able to do more than I have been able to in the past six plus months. The only problem I have with the product is that after a couple of months the velcro is beginning to loose it grip. I have very small caves so Im not sure why.

I am at a campground. 5 others have tried this and its awesome. I should get royalties. They have all ordered. My husband has nerve pain, and in a wheelchair, and once we hit the sweet spot, it helps tremendously. As for the others, they had sciatic pain. Everyone has come up to ask the name of this. So I guess they really liked it.

I bought this to give it a try, as when in pain, one will generally try anything to relieve that pain. It did seem to help my sciatic pain. I did however have a few days when I think I just wore it for too long because it started to irritate my calf where the pressure point piece rests (which is the reason I’m not giving this a 5 star review). I used this about a month, but recently had an epidural injection, so am not needing to use this right now. But it’s nice to know that I have something to help when the shot wears off and the pain returns. Bottom line, if you are suffering from sciatic pain, give this a try. Just be careful to give your calf a break from the pressure point once in a while.

I thought it would be a lark, bought it on an off chance it would work l. As many of those ‘as seen on tv’ items, didn’t have too much faith it would but surprisingly it does. Went for a 2 mile run followed by a HIIT workout and the pain was reduced, not totally fine but made the workout much more bearable.

I am facing surgery to place a spinal stimulator in my spine to help with severe, chronic pain in my legs. My Mom got this and had me try it. I am amazed! It make it bearable until I can get the proceedure, but that could be a month from now. I could hardly walk this morning, but I put these on an d was able to get through the day. BUY IT!
