Attic Tent ATT-at-5 Attic Cover, Silver

> 3 dayWere in north Texas and its not unusual for an attic to get 130+. We installed this at the same time that had a radiant barrier put in and it makes a big difference. I have one of the thermal heat guns and, right now, it is 100 degrees outside (August in Dallas). The attic is 103 but, with the tent zipped up, the laser shows 84 degrees on the bottom (inside-of-house facing) part of the tent. When I then shut the attic door, it measures 77 degrees. This is great for us because the thermostat is right there. Its easy to install also - dont need a contractor or anything, just a nice staple gun.

Greater than one weekThis material is perfect for the entrance of my attic. It was well made and no leak once the covering is zip.

> 3 dayI think the insulating material is too thin because the heat from the attic will penatrate the tent in a matter of hours and it will be just as hot inside the tent as it is in the attic. It is hard for me to tell if the tent does in fact lower the temperature during the summer because before I installed the tent I used insulating strips along the perimater of the attic door to form a seal at the cracks and that alone lowered the temperature 2 or 3 degrees, and then I installed the tent and the tent made no difference in the temperature. To test the effectiveness of the tent properly I would have to remove the insulating strips from the attic door and then see if the tent alone lowers the temperature, something I have not done and dont really want to. Note that I installed it properly and used caulking along the edges to make it air tight. This tent might work better in the winter than in the summer since I havent tried it out during the winter yet.

> 3 dayI purchased one for my house a few years ago. It has worked perfectly very easy to install. When I purchased a house for rental I installed one in that attic for my renter. Cuts the drafts big time.
