> 24 hourI really love this softbox because a lot of the other soft boxes out there and even the older Aputure soft box you have to rebuild it every single time and its really tough to do so. This version they made it very easy to assemble and disassemble. All you gotta do is pull on the wires and wait for it to click and then boom. you done.. so simple. And all you gotta do to disassemble is press the metal lugs that are holding the wires.

The new Light Dome II is designed to fit all fixtures in the Light Storm COB family. It is also compatible with a variety of Bowens mount lighting systems, the most common mounts in the world of photography.
The Light Dome II is Aputure’s flagship light shaping tool. An upgrade from the First Generation Light Dome, the Light Dome II features even higher quality diffusion fabric, a rapid build and breakdown system, an included honeycomb eggcrate, and several more new additions.

Standard movie quality lighting

Advanced diffusion material
- Light Dome II has two ultra-soft diffuse layers, magic cloth and silk cloth. The combination of these materials transforms the hard COB light into a beautiful soft light that wraps the subject very evenly, making the Light Dome II the perfect accessory for portraits, interviews, documentaries, music videos and stories.
High quality fabric grid
- The Light Dome II includes a studio grade fabric grid that allows you to narrow the angle of the light beam to 40 degrees.
Completely round catch light
- The 35-inch Light Dome II uses 16 rods to create a 32-point axis, llowing for a very round ray that is nearly a perfect circle. Combining this with the Aputure COB series or other compatible Bowens mount fixtures gives creatives an accurate circular rounded light that also acts as a catching light for talented eyes on the camera.
Gel holder support
- Light Dome Generation 2 includes a carefully placed gel holder to maximize gel function while minimizing the amount of material required.
Quick setup
- The new version of the light dome features a new generation of quick release speed rings. The dome can now be easily installed and disassembled in less than a minute. This new generation is a fast-moving set that addresses the creative needs of a diffusion solution that can be set up quickly.
