I cant say enough good things about this radio. The 10 meter band is getting better and better and this radio has allowed me to take advantage of it. I use it for parks on the air and portable operation. Have gotten to Hawaii, Europe, and South America.

Great little radio( Little in comparison to my Yaesu FTDX 101MP). This radio is more of size comparison to the RCI 2950 DX, Radio works great and covers all three bands 10 meters, 11 meters and the 12 meter ham bands. Other operators say I sound excellent on the air and it is quite easy to use and has the CTCSS (PL) encoder/Decoder as well for repeater access, also has Only six memories, why ONLY six is beyond me! I am sure there literally hundreds of usable repeaters on the FM portion of the Ham band. I had it in my car for a short time but found it is a bit large for my little car ( A ford ecosport). I took it out and put my Yaesu FT891 back in. I miss the other ham band capabilities.

I use this radio as my base and wouldnt mind having another to replace the McKinley in my truck. This radio has really good receive, great audio.I purchased a cable and downloaded the program off Anytone website. It was easy to program, you can even build your own roger beeps. Also use it on 11 meters.Anytone makes some great radios,I really like their little smart 10 meter rig too.

I grew up in the 90s using a President HR2510 and until I bought this radio nothing else ever compared to how good it was. Im happy to say that this radio feels like a step up from the legendary quarter dime. It is like the users of those radios decided what a new radio needs to compete and be better right out of the box and got it right. Receive is quiet on background noise but super sensitive. The multi segmented S meter is so precise I can almost pinpoint which vehicle someone is transmitting from on the road. Power and swing is phenomenal. The AM ANL variable pot inside the radio controls the forward drive. You can dead key 1/2 a watt and swing 40 if you want with no other mods. Noise blanker works better than my expensive Yaesu FT1200. Audio on the air and out of this radio is just superb. You really cant compare this to anything else on the market. The new Lincoln II+ falls short of being this good. Programmable roger beep. Software lets you make anything you want. Adjustable echo. This will be my rig of choice for both CB and 10 meters for years to come. I own the Anytone 6666 also but prefer this radio because of the display and controls being easier to use and speaker audio is much better.

The 5555N II is a Stryker 955v2 without the bling and fluff! Same power and features including DSP noise reduction. If youre scared of the microphone plug there are adapters out there so you can use your favorite microphone. If you already have a programming cable for an Anytone 6666/Stryker 955 it will work with this radio. A great value!

I use it for a 10 meter stand alone station and it works great.

Nice radio, Only issue they dont make the CTCSS board for it any more. Need to find and optional outboard unit. Otherwise its useless on 10M repeaters! Tone board can be found , can be purchased from Stryker direct its a perfect fit, works well.

Ive been out of CB radio for several decades. Wanted to get back into it with a base/mobile radio. I did a lot of research before buying this 5555n. I was also looking at the Galaxy and Ranger brands. Ham and CB forums give this radio high marks. The price was great, so I bought it. Glad I did. I did the blob thing to UP1 to enable 11m CB, and put the cover back on. Band D is preprogrammed for CB 0-40. Thats all it needed. Xmit into a dummy load it puts out 20w AM, and 30-35ssb. It can be turned down to about 2-3 to drive a linear.

The Anytone 5555N has turned out to be exactly like I expected. The receiver is good and the transmitted audio is fine. Seems to be a reliable radio.

The first unit I got was defective, sent it back with no problem. I was sent a new one before I could sent the first one back. I got the new one and this one works great and looks great too, however I am new to this hobby and working on getting a ham license so just listening for now. I believe this to be a good unit to start with for the money.
