A smaller usb dongle would probably be fine. Its too shallow for usb-a to insert all the way, so it sticks out halfway and moves side to side. I was using it for an old, long, logitech dongle, and it was too unstable.

The metal shell around the adapter slides off due to the force required to remove the adapter from a usb c connector. Otherwise, it works, but this issue makes it worthless.

Ive always had good luck with Anker products so it was a no brainer to go with these. Purchased to connect some usb-a type peripherals to usb-c ports on iMac. Everything is working fine and these seem to be high quality.

Works perfectly unlike some off-brands I have previously tried. And I like having a few of these small adapters rather than full cables. Using to plug in my scanner, charge headphones and use a card reader with my Mac Studiio so I can use the Thunderbolt (USB-C) ports on the front instead of trying to access the legacy USB ports on the back.

Just what I needed for my macbook pro 16 inch. Two of these fits on one side, as opposed to the fat samsung adapters that comes with galaxy phones.

Does exactly what’s it intended to, but with a USB 3.0 external hard drive, I expected faster than 50mb/s read and write speeds. May be a limitation of the drive rather than the adapter though.
