Fantastic purchase all and all. CPU is a beast and, therefore, demands a proper cooling solution. I went with the Noctua NH-D15s and it runs smooth on all kinds of loads. Make sure you also have adequate case cooling.

I recently built a new pc and replaced everything except for the ryzen 7 3700x processor. I had problems with the 64Gb of new ram that I installed my pc from booting normally. I had to boot twice before the operating system would load. I tried everything I could think of to fix this including upgrading the bios but nothing worked. I then suspected it could be the processor not being able to handle the ram. So I upgraded the processor to the ryzen 9 5900x and this solved the problem. My pc now boots just fine. I can really see the difference in general pc performance as well. All my programs work much faster and basic tasks like backing up my hard drive now go lightening fast. Im very happy with this upgrade and highly recommend this processor.

does what it should and stays cool with overclocking

Went from a 3700x to this 5900x and wow is all I can say. AMD hit a home run. Fast smooth game play is what you can expect. Do yourself a favor and pick up extra ram as performance will increase. The 12 cores makes this a dream come true with gaming.

This cpu is great runs every game ive thrown at it. Worth the money upgrading from a amd fx-8350

I have a question we went from the Ryzen 5 to the Ryzen 9 5900 and we installed and the computer turns on then shuts down right away, what could the problem be as it wont stay on.
