AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

You dont need a 12 core CPU for gaming. Its overkill. I got it because developer work is very CPU heavy, and this was marginally more expensive than the 5800X at the time. Its from 1 generation ago, so somewhat worse architecture, but it does have significantly higher benchmark scores, and the 4 extra cores (compared to the 8-core 5800X) is a bonus. Its pretty good at rendering. Actually better at rendering than my GPU (as tested by Blender Benchmark), since I went for such a CPU-heavy build. Havent tried simulations or video editing on it yet, but I expect it to handle those workloads well.

Good god did i not want to need to buy this. After a Rigorous effort of looking into my build and 2 on and off months of testing i figured out my last Processor (From the same company) turned out to be corrupt/Malfunctioning. After buying this more recommended and up to date one i could not be happier. And to save a lot of you the time of doing the research. The fan that comes with it does the job perfectly fine. These newer versions do not overheat at all and dont require beefy rigs to keep cool so you can rest easy knowing I did about 2 days of research and testing on my own to figure out this for sure and lot of video surfing to get a definitive answer. No lagging or gaming hiccups and I did slightly overclock.

Sehr gutes Leistungsverhältnis auf dem X570 Aorus Ultra. Nach Bios Update und installierten Chipsatz treiber, erreicht er auch den Boosttakt von 4.6 GHZ. Boxed Kühler ist ohne Übertaktung völlig ausreichend ( Bei 100% Auslasstung auf allen Kernen nur 90°C). Habe aber andere Wärmeleitpaste verwendet bzw. die von AMD aufgetrage entfernt und durch die MX-4 von Artic ersetzt.

Awesome packaging and setup.

Great cpu and i think if you are trying to make a solid build get this cpu. Now that being said DONT get from AMAZON they shipped in a box with out any packaging material and my cpu was out side its original box luckly none of the pins were damaged but still you dont want damage such an expensive item before you get it

Es una bestiaaaaa, por primera ves puedo trabajar a buena velocidad y potencia con mis programas de 3D, los juegos son una pluma para este cpu, que juegos y que nada, esta es una herramienta profesional mas que de primera.

I bought this one because the 3950x wasnt available. Is awesome but I suggest that mix it with a x570 Motherboard.

If you need a relative monster of a CAD workstation on a budget mate this to a decent but affordable motherboard with a Radeon Pro WX 3100. You can find some dirt cheap now. Other than using the 4 gig of vram for texture storage many CAD programs dont use the GPU for more than translations, rotations, and such then the GPU use basically drops to practically nothing. Comes with a 3 year warranty. We built a budget rig for one client and Solidworks render times were about half a similarly priced Intel based rig. That said we only officially tested CAD software on this workstation. 64mb of lvl 3 cache is a gem. Did NOT overclock rig.

Im not going to right a long review, Im just going to say a few simple words: The hype is real. Just buy one already.
