15-11-2024Arrived damaged (in a damaged box) and when I returned it the next day, the price had risen £10.00 or so and therefore I had to pay for it again while I waited for my refund instead of being offered a replacement. Very very very frustrating.

> 3 dayThis CPU runs hotter than its predecessors. At idle, the cpu runs at 55-60 degrees with 5% cpu usage across all cores. With some light gaming (path of exile), the CPU goes up to 70 degrees, but with 30% cpu usage across 2-3 cores.

14-11-20245800x is a beast. Upgraded from a 3900x. Already had the x570 motherboard so upgrading was a breeze. I’m so impressed with this processor that I also upgraded my son’s pc with the 5800x since we are both gamers. Warzone is now averaging 200 FPS paired with the 3090. With the 3900x I was averaging 140 FPS. Processor does run fairly hot. Make sure you have a good case with fans and definitely an AIO cooler. With my setup Lian Li Dynamic and NZXT 280mm, idle is from 35c-42c. Underload is about 63c-68c. Stable overclock at 4800mhz and under volted to 1.3. Ryzen master PBO hits 4850mhz. Just an amazing and gaming powerful processor.

> 3 dayBang-for-your-buck value for higher-end gaming, you cant beat this processor. It overclocks well and outperforms CPUs that are supposed to be of a higher series.

> 3 dayI may be late to the party but i love this CPU, works well have seen on issues and it is great. I have no complaint and run several vms on my pc as well as some gaming. I could not be happier, have had AMD for a long time and I have always been satisfied with their products.

> 3 dayIts a great CPU, very fast and very nice except for one annoying thing. It seems by my research that the 5800x and the 5900x series seem to have some kind of compatibility or conflict with certain bios settings. If you find yourself in this unfortunate situation where the computer crashes or freezes, then you will have to do some bios settings tinkering to try to remedy the CPU issue. I have been trying to playa round with different things to help solve the issue and so far (knock on wood) I think I found something that works because I have seemed to be stable now the last few days. Under bios, disable Core Performance Boost or Precision Boost Overdrive. If you dont want to remove those then you may have to play around with CPU voltages, so be careful and know what youre doing.
