Greater than one weekI chose this CPU for my first ever PC build. IT was well packaged and arrived on time. The Noctua NH-U12A CPU cooler keeps it nice and cool. I dont overclock, so no need for water cooling.

> 3 dayRyzen has been revolutionary for AMD and CPUs in general. This CPU is fantastic as well, and well worth the money. This is probably the best AMD CPU as the difference between 5800x and anything higher will be 1-3FPS. Unless you are specifically looking to multi-task, this is a great CPU for gaming.

> 3 dayI upgraded from a Ryzen 5 2600X to this Ryzen 7 5800X hoping to see some really big improvements in my CAD station. No issues with the processor itself. It does what it supposed to but in my application, I did not see the performance gains I was hoping for. I am sure it has more to do with the way my software utilizes the cores so I wont ding AMD for that. Is my computer faster, sure it is, just not night and day. I guess the old 2600X was better than I though it was. What I was not prepared for were the changes needed to go from a 65Watt processor up to the 105Watt category. I had an AMD Prism Spire cooler but I quickly realized it wasnt going to be enough for the new processor. I am not gaming, but I am running CAD software and I usually have 2 browsers open with a dozen tabs on each as well as Slack for inter-office communications. The original cooler was running 75% speed or more most of the time. It sounded like the machine was about to take flight sometimes. After one day it was clear a new cooler was in my future. I eventually settled on the very large and expensive (but quiet) Noctua NH-U12A cooler. Now the machine is quieter than the old processor with the Spire cooler but the cost to get there ended up way over my original budget. In hindsight, I would have just avoided the 105Watt processor. If I had dropped back one level to the 65Watt class processor, I wouldnt have noticed the performance difference and I would not have had to invest a small fortune in cooling. In the end, my machine performs well and is quiet but I did learn my lesson about buying more than I needed.

> 3 dayAmazon sent me a CPU that wouldnt even work after bios updates, etc. The replacement they then sent me is also damaged. Only one memory channel works. Already checked for broken/bent pins but theyre all straight, and my old 3600x works in dual channel. Thanks Amazon

> 3 dayPrestazioni imparagonabili a quelli della precedente generazione, figuriamoci a quelli di processori di oltre 2 anni fa (naturalmente a parità di core). Best-buy se lo trovate sotto i 470€.

Greater than one weekMe encantó, sin duda alguna es uno de los mejores procesadores de gama alta que respeta calidad precio en estos tiempos tan complicados.
