AMD Ryzen 7 5700G 8-Core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Radeon Graphics

Wonderful new chipset from AMD. And with the GPU prices going crazy at the moment, finding a build that could still play most games at 1080 and give me the option to upgrade the graphics later was important. This delivers in every aspect, best apu ever.

After months of testing for gaming, Im running this 5700G with a 4000 CL16 16GBx2 kit; the performance is equals or slightly higher to a GT 1030 2GB system that I have. Performs slightly better than the GT 1030 when 4GB/8GB of VRAM is assigned at BIOS (instead of auto). My new built is a mini-pc, and this APU is the best in the market for integrated graphics at my purchase/review date. Happy with the results.

Bought this CPU with a motherboard that supports the CPU, according to the manufacturers website. Of course, the motherboard only supports it after having a firmware update. The firmware update requires a working CPU to update the motherboard, which I do not have. AMD knows about this, and provides a Short-Term Processor Loan Boot Kit to permit this, but they sent a CPU that does not work either (requires a graphics card that I also do not have, as the point of this CPU is the integrated graphics). It turns out that the Short-Term Processor Loan Boot Kit does not cover processors with integrated graphics, and that youre expected to have a discrete graphics card if you expect it to work. I wasnt informed of this until well after the window I had to return the parts I purchased for this build closed.

Estaba dudando si comprar el Ryzen 7 sin gráficos ol 5700G. Finalmente me decidí por el G para no tener que comprar una gráfica aparte ya que no juego mucho. Por ahora solo juego al Farcry 5 y a tope de gráficos va perfecto. Acuerdate de ajustar la BIOS para compartir más de los 512MB de graficos que vienen por defecto

Fast and good performance on EQ & WOW

I was looking for a powerful cpu for a new computer which was going to be used primarily for recording and manipulating audio. So I needed power (multi tracks with effects can eat up cpu headroom), and I needed it to be quiet (low wattage draw to keep heat and therefore fan speed, and no need for noisy graphics card makes my system built around this cpu nearly silent).

I am having issues on the GPU of this processor.

Does light gaming well. LoL, Runescape, CSGO, etc. I would recommend looking for a CPU and a 1050ti locally. I had for about 3 weeks and switched to a 1050ti. Now I have a 1660ti and the 5700g functions fantastic as a CPU.
