Upgraded from a Ryzen 5 2600 non X to this CPU and the bottleneck that the 2600 was causing with my GPU has now disappeared and has helped stabilize the frame rate with my Oculus Rift S..

This CPU has single handily man handled any game Ive thrown at it. Offering high fps in any game and always above 4 ghz of clock speed, this is one of the best budget CPU out there. I have a Noctua CPU cooler for it, and it is 30 degrees idle.

This cpu is awesome, I benchmarked it using cinebench R23 and I got around 11650 (I forget the exact number but it was close to 12,000). Was thinking about manually overclocking, but after reading reviews and comparisons, its almost better or equally effective for gaming to simply turn on precision boost overdrive (PBO) and enable XMP. I got it for 300 bucks, and its a steal, if its 400, not worth it!

Very fast and snappy, wouldnt recommend using the stock cooler though.

For now this is the most cost effective Vermeer CPU as of the time of writing but with that said it is still a beast when it comes to gaming basically beating Intels high end in almost all games. although I think this chip is worth it I know for a fact that there will be a more cost effective option in the future based on the same process node and I myself would have waited for that instead of this had I the opportunity but if you want the best 6 core CPU as of January 2021 then this should be your choice.

AMD Ryzen continues to provide stability and best price for performance.
