Good for the price and defiantly a good choice for a quick upgrade. Don’t let your pc build be bottle necked just because your cpu because it is just as important as the gpu.

Yeh, I know there are better options out there, being the Ryzen 9 and 7 series exsist, but this is one beastly cpu. Like for real. Ive ripped my CPU out my motherboard (bc it got stuck to the fan) and despite a few vent pins, shes working flawlessly after a year. This cpu works just as good as nearly most of the Ryzen 7 line ups. Shes I think the best Ryzen 5 you can get. If you are on a budget and need a long term one cpu, this is THE best CPU you can get. Simply because I went from using a rx 570 with her, to a 3070ti. She works good with em higher GPUs.

I just upgraded from an AMD FX-8320 and the ryzen 5 5600x is soooooo much better I peared it with the gtx 1660ti and I get 144+FPS at high settings in most games. I would definitely recommend to buy this cpu it is amazing

I received a defective product that causes hard reboots when putting the CPU under any type of load like benchmarking, stress tests, or running games. Currently in the RMA process with AMD which will take a minimum of a few weeks.

Still one of the best CPU’s when it comes to gaming! Replaced the fan it came with for a better after market cpu fan.

I built a new PC and got a gigabyte b450m board that needed a bios update (#60) before being able to run the Ryzen 5. I had to get a loaner Ryzen 3 from amd for free and return for free because the board doesnt have a flash button. But it all worked out no problem. Ryzen 5 is nice, comes with a good fan so no need for cooler master stuff. Board looks nice in mini atx case too.
