AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler - YD2600BBAFBOX

It doesnt matter what games youre playing, this thing can handle it. Only exception might be newer generation games but those are few and far between. This CPU is incredible. Does everything well, and does it fast. Temperatures can run a tad high at times, but thats mainly the fault of the Stealth cooler, which I would recommend swapping out for a third party one. Nonetheless, this is the best CPU you can get for this cheap.

I feel bad about leaving a low rating on this product. This is probably a great processor BUT I never got to find out. The mounts did not fit on the motherboard for my HP Ryzen. I dismounted the fan to mount it on the original heat sink, and destroyed one side of the fan in the remount process. That absolutely made this item non-returnable. My fault.

I absolutely love this CPU. Well done AMD! It comes with an included cooler which is super easy to install and has pre-applied thermal paste (which considering you wont be overclocking this it just means youre saving that much more money on your build). Great performance, and now enough time has passed where Ryzen Drivers are actually super stable. Some would argue get the Ryzen 5 2600X, because it is only $16 more and has a higher base clock with a better cooler. However, I would argue that $16 for an extremely small bump in performance could be set aside into getting an upgraded SSD, or put towards an upgrade in GPU, which would carry more impact. That having been said, Ryzen unlocked all their chipsets to be overclockable, so youre really paying $16 more for a better cooler, and a chip they claim is better at overclocking.

Works well with most games out at this time. CPU rarely goes above 40% when playing such games as Assasins Creed.

CPU does very well encoding and decoding video, but the review here is really for the cooler that came with it - The wraith stealth cooler never let my CPU get above 50C even during the most heavy tasks i put it through. Great value.

This processor has brought my ageing pc bang up to date. Its quick, quite frugal on power and runs my Windows 10 machine very smoothly with little effort. It wasnt mega expensive and was certainly worth purchasing. I would easily recommend it.
