Installed it this morning and found two annoying things about it: 1) at the low and medium fan settings it emits an rather loud hum that makes me not want to use those two settings, and 2) it doesnt work all that well at the top of the window (upper sash) due to the control panel being slightly crowned and not on the same plane with the top of the unit. On HIGH the hum disappears but the fan noise is more than I would want on a regular basis. Overall an OK unit but not quite what I was hoping for.

I love Amazon Basic products. Ive never had a problem with them. This fan is great. It works better than a portable AC honestly. I know because I recently bought one.

Moves air enough, not like the comparable ones that cost twice as much, but enough. Quiet enough to have in the kitchen or bedroom.

Good output from fan. Could be better compared to older fans I’ve had but still pretty decent. Only 2 settings but high puts out good airflow.

I got the fancy digital one. It is a fan. It has feets to use on any flat surface outside the window. The feet really add to the versatility factor. Its also surprisingly heavy/solid. Probably a good thing since it sort of will live much of its life hanging in a window. The fan doesnt remember your preferred settings. When turned on, the fan thinks you want to push air out of (not into) your house. Kind of annoying, but you only need to push a button to get the settings you want. But, it has kept me nice and cool on a hot day when I really, really needed a fan.

I am so upset. I thought this window fan would fit perfectly in a room window when you wanted to give the air conditioner a rest. The product arrived damaged and looked used.

This is a great window fan. Being able to switch fan direction for each fan individually is nice. One downside, the adjustable sides dont extend very far and they want to close back in. Other than that, the fan works great.

Fan is a great fit in a window to remove air out, side slides made a exact fit. The thermostat shut of is exact to temperature so I dont need to keep a eye on fan. Remote makes it easy.

This is 5 star for most of you. Noise level is acceptable BUT this is going into a San Francisco Victorian with big windows and no screens and the side panels dont stretch that far. Unlike last summer, it hasnt been that 95 to 98 degree heat. Our buildings are mostly not air conditioned and window units are usually not an option. But hey...fans are good. Cool off the place at night and close the curtains during the day. I ended up buying two of these which nicely store under the bed. Very reasonable price. Hopefully they wont be needed that much.

Not only is this thing obviously put together as inexpensively as possible, but the print on it is so cheap you can rub it right off!. The accordion style sides never stay as you place and adjust them. Basically, this is the worst possible fan you could buy, but since it is an Amazon Basic product, you should expect that. I dont know why it wants me to rate a Remote Control either, as there isnt one. This fan has 3 settings, and in a month you wont be able to read what they are.
