Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case

I use this for my 4TB Seagate External drives. It fits perfectly fine and the pocket it good for holding the usb line.

I like this case, but prefer the neoprene cases as they are smaller and more form fitting. This case is plenty large and being a hard case seems to protect the hard drive fine. Its a bit bulky and loose for my liking, but overall I cant complain too much.

Does its job. Has pockets on the inside to hold the HDD and transfer cable.

I have a NexStar 3 external enclosure that came without a carrying case. My first enclosure did I bought had came with one, so I looked around for one for my second drive. So I bought this. However its too short as noted by other customers. I plan on returning it if I can and getting a bigger case. It was only $6, but I rather spend $6 on something I can use.

I purchased this case to protect my Western Digital (WD) My Passport Essential 500 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive several years ago. Shipping was fast and it was delivered earlier than I was expecting. It fit my WD My Passport 500 GB Portable External Hard Drive so perfectly. Since then I have purchased several Western Digital (WD) My Passport Essential 1 TB Portable External Hard Drives as well as several more of these cases. The 1TB drives are thicker than the 500 GB drives that this case is specifically designed for, but the case is large enough to comfortably hold the 1 TB version of the WD My Passport drive. One tip I learned was to just leave the cable attached to the drive and sticking out of the case then zip the case up to where the cable exits the case. This allows the drive to be readily accessible without opening it up and attaching the cable each time as well as better protecting the drive while in use. The left half of the case has a nice mesh where the cable is designed to be stored when not in use, but since I leave the cable attached to the drive all the time you can use the mesh area to store other things like memory cards and flash hard drive sticks.

Got this because my first hard drive broke in my computer case. Its been almost 6 months and coming around the same time my first harddrive broke and Ive experienceed no problems. The drive fits snug into the security strap, but you have enough room on the other side of the case to put small items in. I like to place a spare battery and thumbdrives in there.

No sure why this was shown with the actual hard drive I ordered as it is nowhere near the right size. My bad for not checking the size but....

Very nice case with a pocket for the power cord, and a wide elastic space for the external hard drive.
