> 24 hourSo I initially not happy because the cutting edge didn’t go all the way to the bearing… so if you have a thin template you can only cut about a 1/16” before stopping to trim the “lip” formed between the bearing and the cutting edge. Annoying, but not a deal breaker. Until the thing just snapped in half! I was routing an existing cavity slightly larger and wasn’t using much pressure. Maybe I just got a defective one, but I doubt it. The broken shaft was hollow!

> 24 hourThis is my first Amana router bit, and wont be the last. Great carbide. Very sharp. I used in a pattern cut I was making for my grandson. Very clean. One of the shortest overall length router bits I have used too. Used it in a Bosch Colt router.

> 24 hourThe project Im working on requires that the bearing and the cutter be the exact same size..... The cutter is .005 smaller than the bearing causing too tight of a fit of the finger joints Im trying to fabricate.... Other than that the quality was very good....

> 24 hourThese are great for the first couple of minutes. The bearings will fall apart in literally two or three minutes, and if you’re lucky, you won’t ruin your project. Start with a larger bit and bearing , and clean up your work with this bit. That way you can get at least part of it done before the bearings go bad.

> 24 hourI love this template bit, and the other tools from this company that I have received. These are very sharp and clean cutting!

> 24 hourShould preface that mesquite is the wood being used to review this bit, but it only lasted for about an hour of cumulative use before the bearing was no longer reliable. Will still serve just fine in the router table taking tiny bites on pieces that can use the fence as a guide, but wont be using this one for template work anymore.

> 24 hourHard to find size . Good quality. A little expensive, but not many other choices.

> 24 hourI bought this bit to route multiple cavities in electric guitar bodies. I should have checked the overall length of this bit before I ordered, I assumed that it would be at least the same length of its smaller sibling, the one that it is just 1/4 diameter but this one is shorter. For the router table, if you have a thin insert you should be alright, I have a 3/4 inch MDF table and this will not clear that that distance with a 1/4 inch template at all, at least not if you follow the minimum insert distance that is marked on the bit. Using it with a plunge router is also a problem, even when removing the template youre always at the maximum reach of the bit. I just thought since the 1/4 inch diameter bit is considered a delicate toy bit, this one being bigger would be at least of the same length but its not :-/
