ALL-TOP sent me a letter to clear up confusion. This product’s description claims 32,000 lb minimum breaking strength while the packaging it comes in says 24,000. The shackles read 4T (8,000 lbs). I’m a newbie so I have not yet used or tested this gear. I purchased this heavy weight gear because my vehicle’s curb weight is over 5,300 lbs. I assumed the 32,000 breaking strength would be (conservatively) appropriate for a vehicle up to 1/4 that amount (i.e., 8,000 lbs, commensurate with the shackle strength). The 24,000/6,000 rating would still be conservatively appropriate. If you are a newbie, get educated before you buy. There are great YTs from Ronny Dahl and others, and lots of reviews and advice on the web. There are any number of recovery approaches - winch, tow rope, snatch straps, high lift jacks with accessory “winch” kits, etc. Each approach has situations for which it works and others for which it does not work. For example, a snatch strap is useless for self-recovery - you need a second vehicle to apply the force for the snatch! Also, you may need more gear to complete the kit for a given approach - for example, with this snatch strap and hitch shackle, you also need two winch dampers to throw over the straps toward the two ends to keep a broken straps from taking someone out, and it would be helpful to have a 3” x 8’ tow strap of equal or greater strength if you need a front end bridle between 2 tow hooks (with 2 shackles if recovery points are eyes rather than hooks) to connect the vehicle to be recovered to the snatch strap. Our current packaging is due to Australian Off-Road Safety Associations Regulations which must specify the true minimum break strength per their rules and regulation. We are sorry to cause unnecessary confusion since we only put Minimum Break Strength on the Packing Box. While nearly all other Strap Brands on the market hide the minimum break strength number on Purpose. The number on our Amazon Product Title is the actual strength rating based on our Lab tested result. In the future, we will label this on our updated Packing Box’s to avoid future confusion. The Minimum Break Strength, the core of a strap, is one of the most important data-points to the product. It shows the realistic safety limits of the strap so you can use it to meet certain recovery situations to avoid injury or damage. The recommended minimum breaking strength should be between two to three times the Vehicles GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass). The Higher Breaking Strength is Recommend for Emergency Recovery and Professional Off-Roader. In conclusion, we are sincerely sorry about the misinformation. We are starting to re-design the packaging already. I bought this tow strap kit for my nabor. I got stuck in the snow and he pulled me out with another strap that had hooks with spring latches that he did not like at all. When he saw the D Ring Shackles, he couldnt thank me enough. I just told him it was the least I could do. A lot of people will remember the Storm of 2021!

Looks to be of high quality. Great workmanship on the stitching. Nice that it came complete with 2 shackles and a cordura storage bag.

I was happy with my selection in the beginning thinking It would last me for years if I took care of it and kept it clean. I have now found out that most all these straps have a limited number of pulls before they loose their ability to recover and become nothing more than a pull strap. On average this numbers is Ten aka 10 pulls before you use up the ability, Im sure lighter pulls will cause them to degrade slower but lets say your buddy is stuck and it takes you 5 hits to pull him out! ARB is a name most offroad guys know well and it is printed on the tag right on their straps! yes 10! My next strap will be an unlimited Tugum rope, granted they take up more room but they last for a long long time without loss of ability or degrading over time, if you take care of it and never run it over or let it drag over rocks ect and position the protective sleeve to avoid damage. Limited number of pulls on the straps is not a well know fact but surely should be! Thanks D

I havent had a chance to use it yet, but it feels sturdy. The rings are much larger than expected, a good surprise
