01-11-2024There are two skin types: those that tan and those that freckle. My little boys and I freckle, but my youngest daughter tans. Today I put this sunscreen on myself and my little boys but my daughter wanted to try her luck with no protection. My sons and I are burn-free! My daughter got a little bit burned. I’ve tried so many sunscreens and would still burn. I’ve slathered my kids in so many different products and then apologized to them because the products didn’t protect them and they still burned. I’ve tried mainstream and more natural sunscreens; I’ve called them in from swimming to reapply; I’ve done everything “right” and we’ve still suffered. I’ve finally found something that keeps us safe from the sun!

Greater than one weekIt is so hard to find a sunscreen with ingredients I am okay with putting on my kids. This is one of the only ones I could find and I am so thankful for it. It is a face stick but we used it for any parts of the body that were exposed and rubbed it in and it worked great. As long as you re apply (as with all sunscreens) you will be very happy with this product! We had no sun burn and were on the beach for hours, we also all have very pale skin that burns easily. There is no weird smell either which I appreciate. It does leave a white cast as first but it sinks in with a bit of time. This is the only sunscreen I will put on my kids and I wish more people knew about it!

> 3 dayGoes on clean, and works! I love that this good for the environment product works so well and feels good on my skin. The consistency of the stick varies depending on temperature it has been stored in. I like it best when it is a little warmer, which is of course when i use it most of the time.

> 3 dayWe took this on our vacation to Hawaii and it worked decently. It doesnt spread as easily as the spray, so I mostly used it just on the face. Plus, it took a lot more of this than the spray to actually cover all parts that needed to be covered with sunscreen. We did get burned the first day and later on in our trip and we used a combination of the spray and stick, so you do need to reapply this more often than non-reef safe sunscreens it seems (and this was getting burned without being in water). At times, it did leave a white residue and it was hard to blend in (particular for my husbands hairy legs). Id use again if I were traveling somewhere with reefs that I needed to protect, but probably wouldnt buy again for just normal use outdoors around the yard since it is expensive and requires re-application more often than not.

> 3 dayI love this! My son has reacted to Neutrogena, Banana Boat, Burts Bees and even store brands. This is the only one that he has not had a reaction to and I can use it on myself too. I am super happy that there is something out there that we can both use and be protected from the San Diego heat.

> 3 dayI just tried it on at home and so far I love it! It has a nice texture and I found it pretty easy to rub in (a little less easy over arm hair). I didnt see any white left when rubbed in. Came off with soap. Probably best of all so far: doesnt make you look greasy! Oh and of course, I love that its reef safe! Will update this review when I actually try it on outside and in the water.

> 3 dayI’ve been using it for a week, and while I can’t say how it blocks the sun in this short period of time, I can certainly say that I absolutely love the fact that it’s not greasy on my face. I like it!

> 3 dayMy dermatologist recommended this product! I used to buy this at Target but like the convenience of ordering from Amazon.

> 3 dayI loved the idea of having zinc sunscreen in a tube so I could apply it without hooping up my hands too much, plus we could take it through TSA because it isnt a liquid. But it the Caribbean, the heat and sun softened it so much that you couldnt apply it. We had to use our fingers to scoop it out to apply, so at that point we just switched to carrying their little tin of sunscreen. Giving it a 3 because it does work if you apply it in an air-conditioned hotel, plus the sunscreen it self worked perfectly. Just get it in a different container.
