the only way to ride a bike is with the Aftershokz bone conducting phones. You can hear everything around you and the sound is much better than ever anticipated.

They work fine. I do like the fact that when exercising outside I can hear vehicles or talk to others. Some reviewers have noted that if you have a big head, they aren’t going to fit well. My head must be on the smaller side, since optimum transmission against the “ear bones” is hard to adjust the fit to achieve. I wish there was a way to reshape the head and ear loops to adjust it so that it sits/rests directly over the bone. Additionally, others reported that the microphone is not picking up clearly when I am on a Zoom call.

I wanted to have the ability to hear on a bicycle ride or going for a run. I waited for a while to buy, because this is an expensive purchase to only use for working out. I finally pulled the trigger and found they have many other uses for me. Many times I am walking around the house, doing different things. I like to listen to podcasts, and I don’t want to be tethered to one location. With the Aeropex, I can be in the same room with kids, while a different tv program plays, I can still listen to my podcast. I can still hear what the kids are up to and quickly touch the left button if I need to pause. The headset is very light, because of this, I keep it on all day long sometimes, without realizing it. I could never keep earbuds in all day. I wear these into stores, and just pause when I start talking to someone. I’ve also worn these in the shower, although I’m not sure if thats recommended. But they worked just fine. In the gym, or other loud environments, put in earplugs and boom, you have noise cancellation. Usually I run with one earbud in or one side of a headphone on. The Aeropex allows me to hear my surroundings so much better than that method. The only disadvantage I see is that music does not sound as good as earbuds, and if it is turned up really loud, others might be able to hear what you are listening too. I don’t listen to lots of bass heavy music, and certainly not around the house when I am trying to listen for other things. Ill keep a pair of headphones if I really want to zone out, but I wont be picking up earbuds all that much.

These were a Christmas present and I love them, you get the accessibility of having music while your still alert of your surroundings. Even at half volume no one else can hear or notice them(unless you have short hair) Im am very happy and impressed..

Only owned the Aeropex headset since May; today I tried to turn it on and it wouldnt start. Tried charging it and nothing happened (no LED). Update: Aftershokz took a warranty claim and has shipped me a new unit. Will update this review if the new unit works better than the first one did. Added a star for customer service.

The sound has improved over iterations of models, these are not for bass heads.

I mostly use these headphones on my daily dog walks. They allow me to safely listen to music or podcasts without eliminating the sounds around me - e.g. cars coming my way, other dog walkers, etc. I can also effortlessly take and make calls on my IPhone 12 with these. Just three buttons and virtually no learning curve. The quality of sound is remarkable considering their size and the fact that they dont sit on or in your ears!

These headphones are great for situations that require you to have situational awareness. I like that I can hear things going on around me and even have conversations while listening to music. The fit of these is snug but completely comfortable. They are so light that I dont even notice them. The sound quality is far better than I expected for this type of headphone. Being able to control your music from the buttons on the headset are extremely handy if your phone is out of reach. You also get 2 charging cables. I have one for the house and the other at my work station at work. I would definitely recommend these. They are well worth the money for what you get.
