its been a week since I got it and the laptop has been working just fine, but recently I noticed a dead pixel that wont work. I tried to fix it by software or closing certain apps but it doesnt go away

I did a lot of research and found this was the perfect laptop for what I needed. I was excited to order it and see how great it would be. The day came when it got delivered. I opened it up, plugged it in. It is way bigger and bulkier than i thought it would be. I turn it on and immediately there is a big noticeable light bleed spot on the bottom left of the screen. Annoying, but only noticeable on darker colors. (I reached out to support, but apparently it didnt warrant a repair or replacement)

Overheating issues, especially if trying to run a game and chrome (even 1 tab spikes temps) the wasd and a few other keys are wearing off the paint/coloring. Never had a laptop do that before, even after several years of daily use.

Ive been using SolidWorks for 22 years. The only thing I dont like about all the new PCs is that these only have a few ports. My old laptop (bought in 2008) had a read write disk with blue ray, all the ports for any cards one would need. While this PC supports 4 monitors it only has ports for 2 additional monitors (pretty damn dumb). I had to buy a USB-C 7 port multifunctional converter (from QGeekM) and a cable adapter for one of my 3rd monitor. Once I got it setup I do like it though.

I found a few laptops over the my gaming career and theyve all fallen short, Im a PC gamer but desktop all the way. When my desktop died and I started traveling a lot for work I needed something portable so I did a lot of research and settled on this one.

Not cheap but very good computer. My son has no problem playing any game at high graphic settings. Solid!

I really thought this would be a good value for a gaming computer. I was right for about a year. After 1 year, almost to the day I got it, it started to have problems. It started to overheat so much that my fingers got a burn. It was only a 1st degree burn though I never thought I would have to worry about that with a laptop. I It then started to shut off randomly. I thought it lost connection to the charger or it went bad so I purchased another one. That didnt fix it. Now it only works if I unplug the charger and run off battery which only lasts so long. I decided to see what Acer could do as it is their product that failed a little after a year. I wouldnt write this except Acer, told me it was out of limited warranty so I would need to pay $749.99 to get them to fix it! That is 65% the original cost! Apple support is far better which is saying a lot. It is just ridiculous and I will never get an Acer again as long as I live.
