I bought this to replace a 7 year old Linux gaming computer (dual-boot, multi-drive) with a corroded power supply, expecting to install a couple extra hard drives, while still playing a few games on the original Windows drive it shipped with. After a little research, it looked like I wouldnt have a lot of trouble installing drivers for the hardware that comes with this model, and the price was reasonably low compared with System76, so I went ahead and ordered it.

I loved everything about it

Within a few minutes of starting a game the laptop freezes and has to be manually restarted. Happens multiple times before I can actually play a game.

Got this for my family to use; the kids for gaming and for video editing. It is amazing! It is fast at everything and runs every game and flies threw heavy editing. Its bulky and the battery life is just okay, but I wanted performance, not sleekness. Its actually really cool looking and both the keyboard and touchpad are great. Would definitely recommend.

I am writing this amendment to my review on my older laptop, which the Predator was supposed to replace. Why is this? Well, lets follow the timeline.

Pedi el computador desde Colombia con el servicio de envio internaiconal y me parece genial, llego sin problemas antes de tiempo y todo me parecio excelente servicio, lo unico que le puedo ver al computador puede ser temas relacionados con la red pero creo que es mas un tema de software y firewall pero de resto estoy super contento y feliz con mi computador.

Since I do not often require the use of the sound system I will not deduct 1 STAR for a very lousy sound system!

Fast to start up, has worked well with occulus link/virtual reality games (half life alyx and Asgards wrath) at medium settings as advertised. If you turn up VR settings to high you will definitely get high CPU and GPU temperatures, but i would say this is expected for a laptop.

Works really well for playing games and what not. The only problem i have is that the track pad is useless. Extremely useless, so dont plan on using it AT ALL!!!!!!
